Works on my 66 Ford ranchero with 10in diameter drums and 2.5in with shoes. The blue springs are slightly shorter then stock but the work just fine. But the pins that hold the shoes to the back plate are to short so I had to reuse the old ones.

Bought this kit since drums and shoes don't come with new hardware. My old hardware was still reusable but it was recommended to put everything new. This kit has enough hardware to service 2 drum brakes. However they do supply you with extra pins, extra springs and retainers. I bought this product to replace worn brakes on my 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7 GT. ... show more

    • Small investment for piece of mind.
A cheap, quick and easy job that gave me a reason to check the rear drum brakes. The springs were probably still the originals (over 30 years old) so it was time to replace them and give the other components a good clean out at the same time.
