  • Nice fit on Element. So far, so good.
Nice fit on 2005 Element. Fit just like OEM. So far, so good. Immediate results were evident in that my temperature needle now rides straight up and down like it should, and I have good interior heat. Plenty of videos on installation, not terribly hard, but messy and slightly hard to reach all the bolts. ... show more

  • Made in China
Dorman thermostat is not from country-of-origin Japan as it is stated in Product information, it is made in China. I received my order and on the box was the words made in China. I could have ordered a cheaper one that would have been the same made in China part. I'm very disappointed in Dorman and i am strongly considering returning the part. ... show more

  • Thermostat got lodged into engine.
The thermostat housing was a perfect fit for my 2005 Honda Element and was very easy to install. A few days later, I noticed that my car was loosing coolant and overheating. When I went to check and removed the thermostat housing, I've noticed the thermostat itself had broke free from the plastic housing and got stuck partially into the cooling system of the car. I am not sure, how that happened; maybe it was a manufacturing defect but its absolutely unacceptable by far. Luckily, I was able to catch it before caused any serious damage. ... show more

  • Not OEM
All I know my coolant system or radiator had no overheating before but now it get to mid range to hot when use AC. I know OEM parts can go screw the selves sometimes cuz there a lot more this was like $35 a OEM thermostat and housing from Honda is like $80 on Amazon Or some crap Anyway sometimes u can get away with buying knock off brands but certain things should be paid for whatever cost . I did the install done right I flushed coolant system too and no leak coming from housing seal I think the stupid thermostat is staying closed it’s not letting coolant run back to radiator aka the lower hose is constantly cold even after a hour long drive so if ur lower hose is not hot enuff where u hand has to rip away from it than the thermostat is compromised folks Lesson learned all good but idk maybe u may have different outcome but for my 2005 Honda Accord this is the situation now Grrr ... show more
