  • Better than factory, but still bad.
This is just a badly engineered hose in general. While the Dorman product is probably the best OEM replacement you'll find, it is doomed to fail in a couple months at most. I kept buying these hoses and replacing them, but no more. Go with one of the bypass operations you can find online.

  • BEWARE!! BEWARE!!
This line worked great for over a year and then the hose crimp came apart and blew all the oil out of my engine. The engine now needs replacement due to the poor quality of this hose. ** I had to cut the line and push the rubber over the cut part and use a clamp to get the truck home** I do not recommend. ... show more

  • bad manufacturing - incorrect line size at adapter.
Line was just slightly oversized to fit into the quick adapter at oil filter. Fought with it for two days. Replaced it with one from NAPA and it clicked in on first try. Not the usual quality I expect from Dorman. Made overseas.

  • Aluminum shavings inside! Aluminum shavings inside!
These hoses are missing a critical O-ring that seals them to the oil filter adapter housing. Mine also contained aluminum shavings inside the tube when I pulled the factory plugs off. Be sure you run solvent and compressed air to these lines before installation. Otherwise you may have aluminum shavings get into your bearings and destroy your engine! The needed seal is GM part number 00463015 and can be found on Amazon. ... show more

  • Poor quality
I installed the oil cooling lines on my 1994 Chevy pickup using the Dorman Products # 625-107 and 625-108 cooling lines in February of 2007. They are both leaking again. I thought I would have better luck using an aftermarket product vs. a Genuine GM part (which I used the first time they leaked). I am disappointed in the short lifetime of the Dorman parts. We'll see how good their limited lifetime warranty is when I submit a claim. ... show more

  • Slight bend mods required, add new seals.
The seals are evidently lacking, change them before install. Leaked as soon as I fired engine up. So frustrating! Yes I lubed seals prior to install and I'm always careful with my new 5.7 repairs.
