Bought this for a sixth grader. We were looking for an analog watch with a resin band for kids. The choices are limited. Most watches with resin bands for kids are digital. This watch is a men’s watch. When set to the smallest position it fits loosely. I wish Casio would make watches for kids. As far as the watch goes it works perfectly fine. The analog face is clear and easy to read. It features both the date and day. The bezel does not rotate. With this watch you always know the time and date, assuming the battery is still good. I set the time, date and day when I received this watch and I haven't had to do anything since then. Let me explain. I am not saying Casio makes bad watches. On the contrary, they are one of the giants in the cheap watch industry. And, I love the color combination on this watch. What I am saying is that this watch was engineered to be obsolete in about three years. Let's start with the cheap, thin watchband. If you have been reading the reviews you have noticed that most people who have had this watch for between two and three years have had to replace the watchband. ($14 - $15) Coincidently, the same amount of time the battery is meant to last, 2-3 years.( a few dollars more) The bezel that surrounds the glass is not raised, therefore providing no protection from scratches and dings to the watch's surface. So you are stuck with a dilemma at around 2-3 years of ownership. Buy a new watchband and battery that costs almost as much as the watch itself, or revive your three-year-old scratched-up watch. I believe that Casio is betting that most people would opt to buy another of their watches instead. After all that was probably their business plan. But in the end, you have to just ask yourself, what more did I expect from a cheap $20+ dollar watch? So far it keeps good time, and time is what this review is all about. ... show more
