    • Cheap alternative to the OEM and 2008 version
I'm sure the seller isn't allowed to post this, but this part DOES fit the 2008 GMC Acadia as well (I put it on just fine). The only exception is that the connection to the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) tube is not the same, and will instead need to be adapted with a common 3/8" fuel hose. This is an easy, cheap fix that will save you over $100 if you are looking to see if it fits the 2008 version like I was. ... show more

Firstly, the rubber material feels more like a stiff plastic. The OEM version is definitely more flexible. This one is a more rigid plastic but does have enough rubber surface to mate well with the throttle body. The really IRKSOME issue with this is the fact that I received it with screws oriented in opposite directions. That would be very irritating to install or remove. Take a look at the included photo for this listing. See how the screws are oriented in opposite directions? That is wrong and that is exactly how I received mine. After some finagling, I was able to take apart the ring and reorient it. You cannot simply turn it around because there are raised relief areas the tightening rings mate up with. I got this for my daughter's 2001 Ford Escape. It fit fine and had no problems. Good hard plastic for the base with rubber for the flexible parts.
