  • If all tasks were this easy to resolve.......
After wrestling with a troublesome wiring in one of the running lights and a replacement of failing bulbs while trying to trace down a short or fault I came upon these and with a required auto safety inspection on the horizon and after looking at the actual wires in my 20 some odd old headlights I went ahead and grabbed up both Left and Right assemblies. I had recent practice in removing these assemblies with the bulb changing &c. so these were installed in under 5 minutes. They operated perfectly instantly. Surprisingly to me the adjustment/ height of the headlights is good out of the box. I will have the safety inspectors do any scientific adjustment as required by code and what not. The 20 years of headlight haze is also gone from my life as well. For me this was a great choice with the alternative being chasing down faltering and failing wiring. ... show more

  • Good part for the price
Priced well, Dorman has been a solid brand for me previously..only complaint was window for adjustment is cloudy and you could see where sealer was not applied all the way around...otherwise, been in my old work beater a few weeks, seem to work well

  • Best replacement headlight assembly.
Everyone wants a CAPA certified headlight assembly. And I understand why. You want that quality and resell value. But as an owner of a 99 Century in Alaska, I have to warn my fellow Buick owners: CAPA is not everything. I recently ordered a set of CAPA assemblies for my car from a local auto parts store and wasted a great deal of money. They looked great and were well built, but they failed in the absolute worst way: practical road lighting. For some inexplicable reason, the CAPA certified assembly has glare shields in the lowbeam sockets that were absolutely the most impractical design ever. The sockets blocked absolutely all light output on the outside of the bulbs. For the life of me I can't understand why anyone design a light socket this way, but I live in Alaska and casting light to the edges of the roadways is absolutely critical to my survival! They had a terrible light box compared to OEM! So I turned to Amazon and Dorman to find a headlight assembly with a more effective assembly with a more useful low beam socket. These assemblies are perfect. They do not have glare shields that block light casting to the edges of the roads. They are also perfectly assembled and easily adjustable. They are probably off-label Eagle Eyes brand, which apparently is not the best quality, but they work for me. And at least Eagle Eyes understands the need for effective light output. Bottom line: I see no quality difference compared to OEM and CAPA certified. All I see is a PRACTICAL field of visibility compared to CAPA brands that will absolutely save my life. ... show more

  • What a difference!
I didn't realize just how much light you lose from the covers getting dull. I had to replace this one because some idiot broke it on purpose. That being said, I'm now gonna have to replace the other one because of just how much brighter this one is!

  • READ THIS BEFORE BUYING !!! FROM DORMAN ??????
BE AWARE that Dorman does NOT manufacture these headlamps themselves--you'll never know what you may receive or who may be the actual manufacturer--in my case it was a Eagle Eyes (Made in Taiwan) headlamp assembly. Ironically that is the very "brand" I was trying to replace because it was cheap junk which was less then a year old in my wifes' Buick Regal. No huge deal tho' because Amazon made good on the purchase with their A-Z guarantee so for me this ended o.k. other then wasted time ! ... show more

  • Trust Dorman
I like to go with a brand I trust. These Dorman headlamps do the trick and help a Mom feel better that my kids can see and be seen while driving in the dark. And easy to install. This YouTube taught Mechanic Mom replaced these.
