I have 3 of these beds, one in white and two in the blue. Out of three sets of this bed I only ran into one problem where a beam was split before I took it out of the box. One simple call to the DHP customer service and it arrived free of charge to me within a week. The assembly wasn't difficult for me, but I love these types of projects. I have my nine, seven, and 2-year-old in these beds and they feel pretty safe and sturdy to me. I will say that I added extra support for under the mattresses, as the mattresses were dipping at each end of the bed. I got 4 2ftx 4ft boards at home Depot for less than $30. Now that there's extra support I can join my kids to snuggle. We have indoor string lights under the beds and the kids love reading in their new books under the beds. I've recommended to friends multiple times. I will say the prices fluctuates considerably so eat h for a deal. I got my daughter's bed first at $220 and then saw that they were on sale for $120 and got my two sons their beds. Not sure why it changes so often. ... show more

This bed is definitely worth the price. It isn’t 100% sturdy but for the price it’s great. It was able to read the directions and assemble on my own as a single mom. The height is perfect for my 3 yr old. She has room underneath for storage as well. We love this bed!

I bought this bed for my grandson’s sleepovers. He liked it so much, he wanted one for his fourth birthday gift. So, he now has one at home too. It isn’t too tall which makes it easier to change bedding and tuck him in. The area below is just right for a play space. It will be a sleeping spot later when baby brother is old enough to spend the night with us. It comes well packaged and my husband and son did not find it difficult to put together. They used drill drivers instead of the hand tool provided, however. It is sturdy enough for an adult to use as well. ... show more

This is a great bed for our big boy that’s officially out of the crib. The height is ideal because it sort of “discourages” him getting out of his new bed since he’s not surrounded by the crib. I have been looking for the perfect bed to transition my toddler ( 4 going on 5) from her toddler bed to a big girl bed. I needed to keep space , safety, comfort and still “ fun “in mind when selecting the bed. I seen so many cute loft beds but the biggest concern was the height of them. I came across this one and kept my eye on the reviews for a few weeks. I decided to go for it after seeing other reviews and doing my measurements. When I ordered it said it would be one week until it arrived. It arrived in two days🙌🏽. The assembly was kind of a headache and took my husband about 2 1/2 hours but it was worth it and my daughter LOVES it. Very sturdy and durable. First of all this is probably the easiest bed ive put together in a LONG time. I am a single parent so I had no help. Took me an hour and a half just because I work slow lol Directions were extremely straightforward. Everything is labeled VERY well for ALL pieces I was shocked! It feeels really sturdy. Other reviewers said the bed is easy to assemble but I didn't find it so. One hole early on was blocked and I couldn't get the screw in; two parts were labeled with the same letter even though they were different (the long sides of the bed) which totally threw off the rest of the build including the stairs which aren't parallel: and the slats that go across under the mattress are a total pain to secure...the slats are short width-wise and it's not clear which part the screws should go into to secure to the frame. It would have been even harder if we didn't have an electric screwdriver. Took several hours to put together and one part at the top is cracking, perhaps because we didn't build it correctly. Difficulty building and questionable sturdiness aside, the bed looks like it does in the pictures and is simple and cute. The white is more of an off-white / cream color. There is enough room underneath to put a full mattress perpendicular to the loft bed. There is room for a child to play or sleep underneath but not and adult to fully sit up (I thought I could read to her underneath but there's not enough overhead clearance). You definitely need a mattress 6" or shorter to be safe; our 11" mattress is much too thick ... show more
