I was skeptical about ordering a barefoot shoe for my newfound running hobby, especially since I have plantar fasciitis. Still, it was hands down the best decision I've made regarding footwear. Making the switch almost immediately decreased my foot/ankle pain. A pretty consistent thing in my Brooks and Acsics. These provide unparalleled support! After wearing them fairly consistently for the past couple of months I've noticed very minimal pain, even when switching between these and sandals. Highly recommend! Go to a retailer that carries these to try on for size, as the toe box is wider and each version of the Altra's does have its unique fit.     • Nice shoe but guardrails hurt me

I wanted to keep that shoe. The quality was very nice and the style is great. I have neuropathy on side of my right small toe and a small bunionette on the left small toe. Altras work great but not this one because the guard rails hurt so I had to return. Thanks Amazon for making the return easy.

I love the look of this shoe and am typically a big fan of Altras. I normally wear the Provision 7. I lived the look and coloring of this pair so decided to try them. Upon try on they fit great and were very comfortable! This is my 3rd pair. I had to return them. Usually they very comfortable but this pair felt very narrow. I compared to the other one I have and they were slightly narrow. I had to return them. They are good shoes but not those.

I wear these shoes because I have severe neuropathy, and these have proven to be the best. They are comfortable and supportive for good walking and balance control. I like that the soles are in such a way that helps maintain my balance. I highly recommend these shoes.

I am so disappointed in these shoes. I have ran in Altras for 5 years and don’t know what has happened to the quality. The sole is heavy and seems to not have any give. Everyone in my running group commented on how my gait is off while wearing these shoes and how they sound heavy and clunky. I also got a huge blister on the side off my foot.
