After reading many reviews and searching for different ones, I decided to go with this one. The assembly is not hard, is like building legos, just have to follow the instructions. It does need two people to assemble it and it took us around 4 hours to assemble. But is resistant, strong. I recommend putting a wooden panel to keep the mattress from the corner to get under the spaces in between, but we only did it for the top bed. I bought a 6” spring mattress because that what I read that the majority recommended, but I already had a new memory foam mattress that is 8” in the bottom bed and fit perfectly.     • Worried about weight
My husband and I purchased the bed for our boys (9 y/o and 4 y/o) and were worried about the 9 y/o being held up since the weight limit is 165 LBS. he’s 90 lbs and the mattress is added weight just worrying about how long it will actually hold him. Other than that, looks nice, low enough for our dropped ceiling bedroom, assembly was easy just time consuming, and seems like a good buy for the money! ... show more

Great inexpensive bunk bed ...not for teens with out upgraded support.easy enough to put together with help.That said was delivered to neighbors and had to look like was stealing my own package, because like most of my packages Amazon delivery didn't follow my directions that it was third door from front. ... show more

The bed was sturdier than a lot of more expensive beds. But, the design needs to be able to switch the end of the bed that the ladder is mounted. And, the ladder needs slightly larger steps.

Solid construction. Took about 4 hours to put together. Very large labels (3 that take up the entire span of the headboard) on the outside of the top bunk stating the dangers of bunkbeds. Like a mattress tag, it said not to remove. We wanted a piece of furniture in the room, not something that had a huge label on the outside of the bed headboard. Taking the labels off to not damage the wood took over an hour and WD40 to help with the process. If I was aware of this before purchasing, it might have had an influence in the choice I made. Each bed has a weight limit of 165 pounds. Not an issue for us, but it might be helpful to know this first. Didn't notice this in the description, but saw it after the face in the reviews.
