I have used a couple different kind of rugs for my backdoor that includes a dog door. I've used "regular" bathmats and found that my dogs would decide that since it was next to their dog door it meant that it was a toy, and they could EAT it! Then I went with a "harder foot scrubber" mat and would find muddy/sandy paw prints across my floors. (The little buggers don't wipe their paws! Haha!) I live at the beach on The Gulf, so the Florida rain happens often. (Down pour and then sunny without a cloud in the sky 1 hour later.) I am frequently just in bare feet myself, so the "foot scrubber" rug wasn't working for me either personally. This popped up on my vine and figured I would give it a shot. This is a very good rug for an entry way IMO. It is that "in between" rug from those "too soft/too hard" ones meant for muddy or wet feet/shoes/paws. It is "thinner" but that is exactly how it is supposed to be so it can function as intended. I have already used it after some "Florida rain" the other day and came back into the house with wet bare feet from my back patio. Two quick COMFORTABLE wipes of both feet and they were dry and no debris. My dogs still don't wipe their paws, but it still dries off their paws much better than the hard one did, so the "paw prints" are gone after a couple visible ones just off of the rug. Personally, I think this is an excellent backdoor mat as it is the right amount of "softness" but is practical. IMO probably a little thin for the bathroom? I like those to be very plush, but that is me and a personal preference honestly. It would dry your feet well and quickly so it would absolutely be practical for that use also. It is perfect for an entry IMO.

I ordered this door mat to use near the cat box to collect litter. It looks and feels like a basic bathmat with low pile and rubber backing. The packaging says that the folds will flatten within a couple of days but mine still has visible creases after 5 days. I suppose it will flatten more with time. It may look better after it is washed and vacuumed a few times. Though it says it is machine washable, I'm not really comfortable putting it in my washer and dryer with the rubber backing, particularly as it ages and begins to disintegrate. I was pleased that the mat has no noticeable odor. It stays put on tile floor and it caused no problems with the robot vacuum. Obviously, the cats like it. I can't speak to the absorbency. I suppose it would work well enough in an entryway. I do think that it is trapping cat litter better than the last rug I tried. I gave it 4 stars because I was expecting something a bit plusher/denser/thicker, the continued visible creases and the overall appearance.

I got this mat to use inside my entry door that leads from the garage into the mud room. I wanted something (color-wise) that would hide the dirt. The mat is soft and a little plush, relatively thick (much like a bath mat as has been described by other reviews). But I don't feel like this is necessarily strictly a bath mat. It does have rubber backing for the non-slip, which is appropriate for both entry mats and bath mats. The mat has a nice hemmed side that is strong and not prone to fraying. This is not a "welcome" mat to be placed outside to remove dirt. The seller specifically states that this is meant for inside. So to say this is a bath mat, and not an entry mat, I don't think is fair. I like to keep a mat that is specifically for getting dirt off outside, and then I use this as a secondary mat inside. It works well for my purpose. When it first arrives, it does have a crease in the middle because of how it is folded and shipped. But that crease comes out if you wash it or over time. The seller did disclose this. For the price, I think this is a nice entry mat.

The rug is nice, and does a good job stoping dusty footprints from getting in the house. I maybe should have ordered a larger one. It’s soft on the feet. Stays right where you place it thanks to the rubber type gripping bottom. Husband thought it looked like a rug for the bathroom. My biggest beef with it is that the folds are not coming out of the rug. It’s been in place for two weeks in my first picture. I might have to wash it to get those folds to release. I’ll try that next.

Looks nice but the only reason I did was because it stated you could vacuum it. You CANNOT vacuum. To really clean it you have to throw it in the washing machine. It does stop dirt from being tracked in by my dogs but I didn't want to have to wash it 2 or 3 times a week like the other one I had. Advertising is very misleading. I suggest the words "can be vacuumed" be removed.

The nice thing about this carpeting is that it is available in different sizes and colors to fit my needs. I chose gray for our rear entryway, and it looks great. It has a sturdy grip rubber backing to avoid sliding and is very absorbent when it comes to wet shoes and mud-laden dog paws, which we have in our home. It's easy to take care of and clean using a vacuum cleaner and machine washable using the recommended cold-water cycle. The carpet comes folded instead of rolled, so it is likely to see creases in the carpet. I found that if I lay the rug down on a flat surface within 24 to 48 hours, the creases disappear. Not only is this an excellent entry carpet, but it also comes at a very affordable price, making it a great value for my money.

The color is nice and the slip resistant backing is excellent. The pile is high though, so I can see this getting caked with mud easily. It almost would work better as a bathroom mat since it is very soft and already has the nonslip backing. We will see how it stands up to time

This is just what I needed for my inside doormat by the front door! Very pretty and soft, but not too soft. I got dark brown so it doesn't show dirt as easily and I don't have to clean it as often. The rubber backing on it seems very durable. And it does absorb water like the ad says, as well as not letting any moisture pass through the rug. The pile is cut very nicely with no loose fibers and the edges are sealed well with great stitching. And my door opens and closes without hitting the rug. Definitely satisfied with it.
