This little playpen for the kittens gives them plenty of room for momma cat to care for them. Once they start climbing, the top has to be zipped up so they can’t get out. Momma cat then has to be zipped up with them, or separated. It has been perfect up to 7 weeks. Kittens are graduating to run around a bedroom in the house with momma until they are ready for their new homes. The kittens have learned to eat solid food, and use the litter box in this playpen. This is the second pet animal playpen I purchased and this one is far stronger than the last. I purchased this as a safe place for my new kitten (which my son adopted and then palmed off on me) as my older (much much larger and heavier) cat is not happy about the adoption. Have new puppy who sleeps in this at night. She was able to tip it over so we had to figure out how to sit it up in away she could not tip it over. It has held up to scratching and biting. I received my package and it's very nice and easy to set up but, the top mesh broke, the ziper attachment broke right away so I had to contact costumer service and they made sure to make this easy and painless to get resolved abd even though the zipper broke I still highly recommend.

We moved to an area with a large feral cat population. A mama cat had kittens, all sight impaired, one totally blind. Unlike the other four, the blind kitty couldn't leave our deck. We were fortunate to find Magoo and his one sister a loving home but before they could go there, we had a batch of really hairy inclement weather coming. Uh-oh! We tarped half of our deck and put houses, toys, a litter box, astroturf, and this playhouse under the tarp. We added a soft bed inside the playhouse. Magoo loved it! Then the best thing happened, his siblings came up to play with him in the house! Even better, they all curled up to sleep in it. This is one of the best purchases I ever made! I HIGHLY recommend this house. When the top is zipped a kitten or cat, (I would say under 11 pounds), can sleep on it. The two doors allow the kittens to tear right through it!
