    • If you experiencing issues, update firmware (Update)
When I originally received my starry pad mini, I was having issues with the device not updating while customizing the midi messages and lighting settings. Donners Customer Service reached out and provided me with info on how to update the firmware on the device and it is working like a charm now. the pads also seem to be more responsive with the firmware update, so I'd say even if it's working for you, seek out info on updating the firmware of the device. Updating the firmware (or even knowing that needed to be done) wasn't exactly intuitive, so I dock it a little for that, but if they streamline that process in the future I will definitely return and give this a 5 star review because, for the price, this is a rock solid purchase once you get it going. :) ... show more

    • Great size, software and functionality didn’t work
Software to adjust parameters is buried on the website… programming the buttons in other software, like VDJ, was a hassle and the colors didn’t adjust to match the settings. Also when I tried to program the bottom row of buttons the controller and softare constantly reset. When the Bluetooth works it does a decent job and is pretty responsive.     • Not responsive enough for drums
The pads work just good enough for triggering vocal samples, but they aren’t responsive enough for live playing with a drum vst.

    • Great little portable drum pad controller.
Excellent portable, mini drum pad controller that packs away easily to carry around with your laptop. So you can jam on the go nice and easy. You’ll need to work out the latency a bit but once you get in a sweet spot, all good.
