  • Built solid
This amp blew me away, wasn't expecting it would sound this good. My 200 watt Pevey needs a tune up, so i bought this to use while it’s in the shop. Playing a steel guitar tends to push pretty hard on an amp but this will definitely keep up until the other gets fixed, at least for practice. Overall im very favorably impressed. This is a keeper! ... show more

  • Cool little practice amp.
Cool little practice amp. Obviously it's not for blasting your guitar. But for lower level volume playing. I have had Donner things before, and they are getting a lot more main stream in there construction quality and features. Which is a good thing. The construction on the amp is very solid. It has an open back speaker cabinet. Output is about 20 watt, and that sounded about right. With over drive and reverb, it's a pretty handy amp to have. The amp is a wall outlet plugin amp, there is no battery. So it's portable, as long as you have a outlet handy. If you really wanted to get even more speaker output, you could use the the headphone jack to output to another speaker. I'm not to sure if they recommend doing that, but I do it all the time. Occasionally you may want a more robust speaker. You could also run the headphone output at a low level and use it as an output to powered cabinet. The output signal level of a headphone is very low. Just keep it on 1 or 2 if you do this type of thing. It's nice to see Donner upping their game more and more. The are at the NAMM shows, so they appear be trying to become a bigger player in the USA as far as musical equipment concerned. I think this is a good buy for a practice level guitar amp (not for bass guitar) and worth taking a look at. ... show more

  • Small but sounds pretty decent
I think this is a pretty good 1st amp for practicing or if you are trying to learn guitar. This actually has a reverb effect built in. It's small but sounds pretty decent for its size. It has an opening on the backside and I'm not sure how I feel about that given the speaker is exposed and it could get damaged. Overall the compact size is great if you don't have the space. ... show more

  • An amp that punches well above it's price point.
This little amp delivers. The cabinet is solid. It's made from plywood, not particle board. It is covered in Tolex. The amp has two channels- a gain channel and a clean channel. The gain channel actually sounds very good and the amp can be used without a distortion pedal. The reverb is a simple reverb with a set mix level, the one knob changes both the mix and the delay. It's very usable and I can get a pink floyd "Comfortably Numb" delay out of it. The amp is practice amp or busking amp loud. It does not have a battery. It will not keep up with a drum kit on it's own. While it would be better if it had a foot switch jack to control gain channel and reverb, it's does it's job very well. I'd say the build is similar to a 1980s Peavey backstage... But the price is a one fifth of what that would cost. This amp sits on my desk in my garage video conference office. It allows me to take a break and play guitar on breaks from work without having to suffer poor audio quality. Donner has once again delivered a quality product at a very reasonable price. Donner is becoming one of my favorite music brands. ... show more

  • Nice solidly built with good sound.
The media could not be loaded. This is a nice well built very solidly built amplifier great for practicing or in my case she saw the video good for vocals too which produces really good sound. You have your Reverb control you have your clean switch so if you don't want to have distortion perfect little switch to help you out there. I was actually surprised on how good it sounded and it's really a well-built amplifier very functionable like I said you can use it for your guitar you can use it for vocals as I did in the video I didn't have a guitar handy at the moment but after plugging my guitar into it it the sound is just as good and for practice this is perfect it's not one you're going to take to a big venue and play to a big crowd but I could see taking this to a smaller coffee shop type venue it's really good amp it's got good sound good will balance sound clear crisp and again for a smaller practice mini amp this is perfect especially what I need it for. I think it's about 8 lb so it's not that heavy so taking it with you or carrying it with you it shouldn't be a problem it's got that handle on top to carry it and again I'm surprised at how well it's made considering the cost it's a certainly it's a great value for what you're getting here I was pleasantly surprised and still am. ... show more

  • Compact but powerful amp, perfect for small spaces
I’m replacing a Peavey Audition 30 with this Donner 20W amp, and even though it’s smaller, it’s definitely an upgrade for my needs. Living in a small apartment, the compact size is actually a bonus, making it easier to store and manage without compromising on sound quality. The sound is clean and crisp, whether I’m using the clean or overdrive settings, and the reverb effects add a nice layer. It’s perfect for practicing at home without overwhelming the space, and the sound quality holds up well for a smaller unit. A great choice for anyone in a compact living situation. ... show more

  • Built like a tank!
The media could not be loaded. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from a tiny practice amp. This one is built as well as any major amp out there, is well-designed, and can get ridiculously loud. My video doesn't nearly do that justice. The one shortcoming here is the tone. It's a bit honky, no matter how you set the controls - and could use a midrange control to pull some of that out. I probably could have used an EQ pedal to do that, but I wanted to show the amp with no external effects. I knocked off one star for the mids. Overall, if you're looking for a small practice amp, or a first amp for your kid - this'll absolutely do the trick! ... show more
