First, I have lots of succulents and lots of plant lights. Some with success, and some don’t last—my purchase of this set of lights with very few non sponsored reviews led me to write. I haven’t tried these with the plants yet and if they work well, I will update this review. I purchased based on the size and spectrum I was looking for. This is mostly about my impression of the lights and how they are to setup. All of what I have to say is not necessarily hidden in any description, but I apparently didn’t look closely at the photos. The first thing I noticed is that these lights hang down very low from the shelf. I purchased these for a bamboo wall shelf with not a lot of space between the shelves, but it works for the size of the haworthia I have on it. All my previous lights were at the most about half inch deep, which maximizes my space. These lights with the ends on will hang down more than two inches—taking away some grow space on this fixed shelf. With some of my plants not an issue, but I do have a few taller ones that will be very close to the lights leaving no room for new growth. On another adjusting or larger shelf this wouldn’t be an issue, but for me it is. I will be trying the lights after I unscrewed the ends, but it leaves those very exposed to moisture. I don’t know if the adhesive will hold to the shelf and the cord from the light comes out the top, so I have to align that between pieces and it will be more exposed to the bases of the pots and water from them. I don’t think the adhesive strips that came with will hold, but then I’ve never had any lights that came with strong enough strips and have always had to switch to a better type. The second thing is that there are lots and lots of cords. The adapter box is very large and rather heavy. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to secure it to the wall under my hanging wall shelf. One pleasant surprise not seen in the description is that each of the four lights has its own on/off switch that comes between the light and the timer. This will allow for me to turn them off without messing up the timer—say while I’m watching tv and they’re just in my eyes. However the cords will be very visible. If I were using for more growth shelf vs a more decorative shelf like this one it wouldn’t be an issue, but in my useage it’s a definite con. I will be giving these a try, though I also admit I just ordered another brand and type for backup as my plants are starting to show signs of the lack of light over the last two weeks since my last set quit working. I doubt I will be able to use this set long term for this shelf but if they make the plants happy I may keep for a different shelf. Though the length of the lights doesn’t look like it will easily work with the wire shelves I use for my nursery and growth plants.

I am really enjoying these and just purchased a second set of them during Prime Day. I haven't used the fasteners that are included because I prefer to use velcro so I can't speak to the efficacy of those but the lights themselves keep my plants very happy! I've never had any issues with the timers acting up. I purchased my first set in March of 2023 and it's still going strong without any issues. My second set came this month. Neither of them had any defects when they arrived.

I use these for supplemental lights for a grow tent for the bottom area of the plant. Be aware that the first two settings are only 40 watt but it's still more than enough to get done what needs to be done. The 40 watt settings at least do not contribute any heat but the 80 watt does create some heat. Not enough to be a problem as long as you have good air circulation.

I bought 4 of these sets of 4 grow lights. It says on this listing it had a 1 year warranty. Almost all of these lights have stopped working. Only partial lights. All are under one year old. Company does not respond to me. Amazon wont help with this seller. $200.00 for these lights. Amazon offered to give me 50.00 but they never did. Don’t buy from this company! I’m moving away from Amazon too. Customer service is not what it used to be.

I installed this last year when I brought the plants in for the winter, and I’ve had them on daily timers ever since. No problems, still working perfectly. Great value, high quality, adjustable light and time settings…. Easy to fix to a utility rack. 10/10.

Update April 2025: Only one of the lights completely works, which happens to be the light that I didn’t set up. Two partially work (between 40-50% percent of the LEDs), and the forth light is completely dead. Maybe wait till they are on sale. You will only get about a year and a half of active use. I live in an apartment with west facing windows. However, it is only 20 feet between my windows and the windows of the unit across from mines. I placed privacy screens on the windows to block views but to keep light coming entering the unit. I think add this to my tiered plant stand (four levels) and my plants love it. It super easy to set the timer or adjust the wavelength. This product would be better if you could independently set the timer or adjust the wavelength for each of the four lights. If you're not worried about that then this is a great product, and your plants will love you for it.
