I love these beautiful ceramic dishes. The set includes dinner plates, salad plates, and cereal bowls for 4 people. The Bloom pattern looks just like the online pictures, with a subtle, starburst pattern flowing from the center outward. The colors are primarily shades of brown and cream, with a narrow, irregular, darker, golden brown ring along the top. The surface is very slightly textured, with a glossy finish over it. The outside of the dishes are white, with the name of the brand printed on the bottom of each dish in black. These are safe to use in the microwave and dishwasher, and I've used in both without a problem. These arrived in perfect condition, and seem durable and well made. They don't feel lightweight, but are not bulky or overly heavy to hold. They are probably considered casual or everyday dishes, but they look pretty enough to use for any occasion. Depending on the way the light shines on them, I keep thinking I see a hint of blue, or maybe a gray towards the center of the dishes, and towards the top as well. Not positive about that, but whatever color it is gives an added depth to the pattern. One thing I wish these dishes included would be matching cups, or at least the opportunity to buy matching cups separately. I could not find any in the Bloom pattern on the seller's site or elsewhere on Amazon. I saw some solid brown ones that would probably coordinate with them, but I don't want to invest additional money in cups that wouldn't be used often. I have plenty of miscellaneous cups and mugs, so this isn't a huge disappointment, and the site clearly states what is included in this set, so no stars need to be deducted. These are just like they're advertised, although they look even nicer in person! I highly recommend them as not only are they beautiful and good quality, they are reasonably priced.

These hand crafted ceramic plates caught my eye immediately when I came across them. I bought a set of Florian Gadsby's plates from Crate and Barrel and loved them, but found that even though they were well made, they could not stand the rigors of daily use and the dishwasher HIGH HEAT setting. These plates however are different. I have run them through the dishwasher 11 times now and they don't show any signs of weakening. I love the pattern too. They have a wintery feel to them but also can be used year round because they are plates and bowls. I ate cereal from the bowls yesterday and for some reason, it just tasted better. I realize that is not rational but it did happen. The pates are about 10 inches wide, the salad plates and bowls are about 3/4 that size. The bowls hold a good amount of liquid and feel like a great cereal/soup bowl. The smaller plates hold a full slice of toast nicely. I prefer the sour dough myself. The thickness of the plates are the only area where I see an opportunity for the makers. It feels like a 2-3 pound clay ball was used to construct each plate and they just trimmed it down a little too much. On earthenware like this, the plates are supposed to feel quite substantial unlike Porcelain which is supposed to feel light and delicate. Other than that they are great. The face of the plate resists my steak knife well. I cut steak and chicken off of these and didn't see any scaring or crazing on the glaze. They are very durable. The price tag may scare off a few folks at $70. These are hand crafted ceramics meaning someone sat at a pottery wheel and made these by hand. They glazed it, fired it and then put it on the shelf for us to buy. As with most hand made goods, the production cost is high which translates to a higher retail cost. In any case, I consider it $70 well spent.

They look just like the listing, I love them! As far as ceramic dish ware goes, they feel fairly sturdy. There’s enough dishes to serve 4 people at a time with each dish type (4 large plates, 4 normal plates and 4 bowls.) the color/design is glazed well, so it won’t be coming off with cleaning unless you somehow manage to chip it perhaps? Even then, I feel like these would continue to hold up. They are easy to clean, provided you take care of them and don’t let tricky foods (like grits) dry fully onto them. They’re not cheap by any means, but they are a fair price, given that these appear to be well made and sturdy.
