While these were intended for attaching to the roof of an RV or camper, I was replacing 12-year-old glass panel sets, 3 on my side porch roof and 2 "portable" (yeah, they could be moved around but were HEAVY) ones in my front yard (that's where the sun is). Therefore, there really wasn't anything to glue them to. Instead, I used PVC pipes and built frames for them, attaching them to the frames with plastic wire ties. I bought 4 of these panels and built 2 frames, each frame to hold 2 panels. See attached photo of first finished frame. They weigh so little even with the PVC pipe frames that I can pick up and carry both frames with ONE HAND. I use them both in the front yard and store them in the garage overnight to prevent theft (light weight makes them easy to steal, too!) and so they're not knocked over by the wind. BTW, being knocked over doesn't break them like the old glass ones. They are also pumping out a great deal of power, so much so that there's no need to put any on the side porch. These 4 panels plus 2 more on order for a third frame all in the front yard during the day give me more power than I expected. Even in hazy sun they produced 22.4 amps at 12-14 volts. With clear skies it's 18-19 amps. With the 3rd frame I expect to get near the 30 amp max my charge controller can take. The batteries will stay charged and I can run the refrigerator all day plus electronics. Sweet! ... show more

For the price I think these are great, I got a bad panel, but was replaced by manufacturer in the first 30 days. On a bright day I tested each of my panels making about 80-95w per panel. My use is very niche running a computer in my car, but it runs everything very well with a sealed gel battery and a simple battery maintainer ... show more

This is a very disappointing product. There are not enough mounting holes to stabilize the panel properly. The holes on it are in the corners, very close to the edge and the grommets are flimsy and will break with any panel flex. The glue that holds the diodes to the panel is relatively useless. The panel worked for the day I had it and it literally fell apart piece by piece. It worked perfectly while in one piece but that lasted 24hrs. I'm so disappointed with this product I can't express it in words. The only application I could see this panel being used for is camping where you can just lay it out and let it be. Not good for RV or Boat or any hanging application unless it is fully framed. ... show more

These panels are lighter in weight than rigid ones. More documentation or description would have been nice. They have MC4 connectors, which would have been nice to know for planning purposes. I easily got 75 watts out of each panel on a partly cloudy day.

Excited to try out the solar panel more, because it’s been so great so far! It’s super lightweight and flexible, though I wouldn’t bend it completely in half. It’s easy to connect to other panels of either the same brand or different brands, experimented with it in a couple applications, and it was virtually plug-in play with an inverter, and inverter to battery. One thing that I’ve noticed is that it runs about 5 W less, but I am in a hot southern state, so heat could be impacting the output. The final application, for my solar panel is on top of a rounded/curved airstream so I’m excited to mount it and see how it works on the road. ... show more

I ordered 10 of these panels, and out of ten two do not produce any power at all, and a third had a bus bar end sticking out from the wire connection box. Fortunately, Amazon made an easy exchange but certainly require testing and inspection of all panels before any installation. All panels have inconsistent amount of over application of adhesive around the wire entry box with some looking messy even if functional and weathertight. Most electronics have a defect of one in a million or less, but this product clearly lacks quality control and has inconsistent production quality as is visible from panel to panel. While all of the boxes arrived in new, unopened and good condition, all of the panels have areas of many scratch marks on the surface, some light gouges or scrapes, and some with bent corners. the scratch marks are significant and only in certain areas that is inconsistent with scratching from within the box during shipment. Since all of the boxes appear to be in new condition from the factory, with factory box tape on all edges, and the foam packaging in good condition, I can only assume that these scratches, gouges in the surface, and the bent corners were created before or during being boxed at the factory, again indicating very low concern or care for quality. The panels themselves seem to be well made, but the grommets and corners are a little too weak as they are easily compressed with even light screw tightening and also too large of a hole diameter for even a #10 screw head to fully cover, and the panels can use another pair of grommets along the middle of each long edge to ensure hold down. I tested all panels to produce about 19.2-19.5 volts on a fairly sunny day. The MC4 connectors seem fine, and wire lengths long enough, and the photovoltaic cells and thin busbars seem high quality but the quality control of the product that gets packed seems very low, which may be an indicator of this panels longevity or performance over time. My two 100 watt panels were shipped quickly and securely packaged. The panels are lightweight and easy to mount, but not particularly robust. They are easy to scratch even when handled with much care. They are prone to damage from eve light winds if not completely secured. Neither of my 100 watt panels has been able to yield more than 39 watts, even when mounted next to another 100 watt panel that was yielding 70+ watts in the same conditions. I like these flexible units for charging my RV batteries without having to leave my more expensive and productive panels out when I am not around, but I do wish these units were more efficient. ... show more
