collar seemed to charge fine, after a few tries finally got collar to test as instructed, everything seemed according to plan. Collar seemed to work fine the 1st night, then next day nothing. Dog barked at will, collar was tight as could be without choking dog, she is a short hair so collar node coming in contact with her skin is not an issue, it's just this piece of junk doesn't work, and this was ranked as second best collar for 2023? Maybe i just got "lucky" and received a non-functioning unit, but i wouldn't recommend tying your hard earned money up in a guess of maybe it works maybe it doesn't. This product is more foreign junk that has a lifespan of two hours after they get your money. ... show more

This collar is not your average junk. This is the best bark collar I have experienced in 20 yrs of dog work. It does not adjust per barks but activates a single warning then a stim for the setting you select. Be sure they are on tight so that you get a good connection. Be sure you don't leave on more than 12 hrs in one position. ... show more

With multiple settings and you don't have to worry about using them on different dog sizes. We have a 65 lb dog and 135 lb dog and we can use the same collar at different settings. This is easy to charge, and lasts a pretty good time. My only real complaint is I wish it notified us when the battery was out or low. Definitely recommend. ... show more

    • I had a stubborn dog
My dog was really stubborn and just learned to whine instead so when she did bark most of the time it would shock but it wasn't consistent. Battery life was pretty good and was the only collar we found strong enough for our dog (very large dog) to have ANY kind of response but make sure to take it off and let the area breath as if they bark a lot with it on can cause some irritation on the skin. ... show more

The Dogtra YS600 Anti-Bark Collar is a solid product for its price. It’s effective at curbing excessive barking and works reliably. That said, I do wish it offered more options besides just the static shock, like a vibration or tone mode, for added flexibility. However, it gets the job done, and my dog responded well to it. Do Not Buy! I purchased 6 Dogtra YS bark collars in January, and every single one of them has shocked my dogs for no reason. One of my dogs was simply drinking water when the collar shocked him. Another was just sitting calmly, and when I went to adjust the collar, it shocked him. The last one was climbing into a plastic crate in the car when it went off. People walking by probably thought I was doing something to him—it was unbelievably embarrassing. When my dogs are actually barking, these collars don’t even activate properly. Amazon only offers a 30-day refund, so they gave me Dogtra’s number. When I called, the customer service rep was unbelievably rude. I accidentally said “electrocute” instead of “shock,” and she jumped on me, arguing instead of listening. I then spoke to a manager, but she repeated the same line: no refunds, only repair. So let me get this straight: the collars malfunction, shock dogs randomly, and the only solution they offer is to “fix” them so I can try again and watch my dogs get punished for no reason? Absolutely not. I’ve been a Dogtra customer for 14 years and own two 1900 series units that worked fine. I was even considering buying another, but after this experience, never again. Their customer service is dismissive, their policies are terrible, and their collars are unreliable. To make it worse, after checking reviews on Chewy, Dogtra’s own site, and Amazon, I discovered many other people are reporting the same issues. I wish I had read those before purchasing.
