This is more lightweight than others we've tried, which is a plus. Once put together, you adjust it for your dog, which can take some time. A bit of trial and error is necessary when fitting mobility devices. The design is not favorable to dogs with longer torsos. My corgi-dachsund is small enough (for medium size for her) but the way she's built, it really needs support in the middle. Otherwise her back looks unconformable and makes it harder for her to pull herself with the wheels so far back. It does work, but she has to make like an inchworm to move it. Would work better for dogs with regular torsos.

I want to give this wheelchair 5 stars because it's lightweight and rolls easily with the oversize wheels, doesn't tip over too often, plus once you get it adjusted right (which takes some doing, but that's about the same with any wheelchair for dogs), it's pretty easy to put on and take off (assuming you have a patient dog). Unfortunately, as I now see other people have experienced, it's not a great fit for "long dogs" like dachshunds because there is not enough belly support, which is usually the problem that caused them to be in a wheelchair in the first place. We will donate this as I'm sure it will work well for another dog breed, but if you have a long dog, I would look elsewhere.

This is an amazing item. I have a Lhasa Apso with a spinal injury, and this is helping him get around. It's WONDERFUL! If you have a loving family member who (unfortunately) has an injury that prohibits them from walking without pain, t his is the PERFECT item to get. It is helping him so much, he seems like a different pup!

Choosing a wheelchair for you pet is difficult. I think trying several different designs is worth the time and effort. Most importantly, anything to help mobility is better than nothing. The thing I don't like about this wheelchair is that it takes twice as long to get it on than others that have a one-piece "elongated" harness. I don't feel like the 2-piece design of this one gives enough abdomen/chest/back support. What I do like is the adjustability. I think it is worth considering. The price point is comparable to other similar items.

I love love love this dog wheelchair! It is for a family friend whose dog was accidentally ran over and is having difficulties walking properly. This dog wheelchair will give him a lot of relief in not having to struggle to walk with his hind legs and he is not in pain anymore. This wheelchair packet includes a beautiful canvas bag that says “Frolicking Field…Support Every Step, Enjoy Every Day”. It also includes the shelf, wheels, dog leg fixed belt, harness, hind leg support and leash. This hind leg wheelchair offers excellent support for your dog’s hind legs and allows them to roam freely and shows them that they are still able to be happy dogs. I love this wheelchair and highly recommend this product for purchase.
