  • Dog collars
Just received but like it

  • Nice set for more than one dog
Unbiased review after receiving this set. This training collar set came well packaged, and seems to be well designed, and includes good instructions, though I was able to figure out the remote without reading the instructions, I found it quite intuitive. The real plus is having three separate collars, so you can train up to three dogs at once, by pressing a button on the side of the remote to switch between the three collars. Each collar is a separate color, to keep track of which one goes on which dog. The package includes different sizes of the metal prongs, depending on the thickness of the dog's fur. Also included are rubber covers for the prongs if you don't want to use the shock function and ensure that if you accidentally press the shock button, your dog won't feel anything. All three modes have a ton of sensitivity levels: The volume of the audible beep mode; the vibrate mode; and the shock mode. I try to use the shock mode just a couple times at a low setting, after first using the audible and/or vibrate modes; dogs quickly learn that the beep or the vibration come before the shock, so usually they will respond to the audible or vibrate modes. The collars have a wide range of adjustability, from small dogs to really large ones. For a smaller dog, it would probably make sense to trim the excess collar length once it's adjusted properly, to avoid having to tuck away the excess. The charging system is well thought out...there is one cord that has a USB on one end that plugs into a USB port, and the other end has two USB C connections, allowing you to charge a collar and the remote at the same time. After receiving these collars, I used one on my younger Border Collie who antagonizes my older one when we are trying to play frisbee...she latches on to his fur so he literally would drag her along while trying to run for the disc. After just one correction with the shock function (after first using the beep and vibrate in quick succession so she learned the they preceed the shock), I was able to prevent her from doing that with just a quick beep in the audible mode. Mission accomplished. The quality of the set seems good, I will report back how the collars and remote hold up. Keep in mind that the cost might be higher than other sets, but it's largely because this includes three collars rather than just one. If you only have one dog, it would probably make sense to buy a setup that only includes one collar. I gave ti 4 stars because so far it meets all the advertised expectations...I withheld once start simply because very few things are 'perfect' or exceed expectations, not because I found anything wrong. Five starts is a high bar for me. I might upgrade this later depending on its reliability and longer term quality. ... show more

  • Easy to use
So far so good. All 3 dogs are adjusted to their new collars

  • Is working well to stop unwanted behaviors
I'm using this with a 65-pound Staffordshire rescue who doesn't seem to have any idea about his strength or how to play appropriately. I got it thinking I would only use the vibration mode, but my dog doesn't seem to care about that and happily kept engaging in undesired behavior. After trying out the shock mode on myself, I set the mode the lowest shock and he started paying attention. By that, I mean he runs away from whatever it is that he's doing! It's extremely effective for him, and I never had to try out any of the shock levels beyond the lowest one. Additionally, I only had to use it once on him before he started listening to my "No" command. The remote is quite intuitive. There are tons of levels of each setting -- tone, vibration, and shock. Rather than using the tone setting, I preceded the vibration or shock with a vocal command, hopefully to teach him that "no" is a predecessor to something negative or to get his attention more completely so that when he learns to pay attention to my command, he can be easily weaned off the collar. Thus, I haven't used the tone setting. I'm so happy something has finally worked! ... show more

  • 3 Collars Don't Pair
Hard time reviewing instructions who ever created this because when you try to connect item quality poor. This products intention was not to fulfill our needs, but to just put it in the market and sell. No good.

  • Best collar for multiple dogs
I have three dogs, two of which mostly cooperate when going on walks. However, the third is a mini Aussie Doodle who would much rather snoop and wander where she wants to go than where I want to go. I've tried using treats, but compared to most dogs, she is not treat-motivated. This means I need other means of encouraging her to listen to me. I've used other electronic collars with audio (beeps), vibration, and shock capabilities, just like this one. So, I know that the audio is good in most cases to get her attention, but sometimes, she needs more. This is where the vibration and shock come into play. While the other two mostly cooperate, they also need the occasional encouragement. So I was excited when I came across this collar with the ability to control three dogs with one remote. My dislikes are quite few, but they are significant. The remote has an LCD screen that shows which collar is being used. This is nice until you get it in the sun, at which point the display is pretty much useless. The dog collars are on the big side because they use a USB-C charging connector instead of the magnetic charging connectors that other collars use. Bottom line? If you need an electronic collar for multiple dogs, this is a good one to get! ... show more
