I think I’ll remove the black vinyl on the prongs for a little more reminder. This collar replaced similar collar without the black tip protectors which he listened to better. Previous collar didn’t seem to cause any pain. I prefer this prong collar with clip on clasp for ease of fit and not needing to slip prongs over eyes.

it is like magic for pulling in general but think of this as a training measure, since a stray cat or phat squirrel will instantly cause your dog to stop caring that he is wearing this collar and pull you just as hard as if it were a regular collar
