Daisy is my 4-year-old short-haired border collie mix and weighs about 30#. To say that she used to bark incessantly was, to put it mildly! She’d bark at absolutely EVERYTHING and EVERYONE (even the AMAZON Van or anything resembling it)was a huge trigger except for maybe immediate family and even at them on occasion. She'd bark inside, she’d bark outside, and everywhere in between! Her bark was so shrill that it really hurt our ears. We were very hesitant at first to buy a “bark” collar because we thought that it might be considered abusive but looking back, all of the yelling we had to do was far more “abusive” (and I use that term lightly, but maybe that's how you or other people reading this may consider using a collar like this is considered) but after using it for a full month, my opinion has been changed. At first, we didn't think that it was going to work but, it wasn't until we realized that the contacts that administered the “shock” (if you can call it that because when it was tested on my hand, it really is very mild) weren’t touching her neck and they were pretty much dangling down by her neck. She wasn’t really phased at all by the beeping or the vibration modes at all. We had already adjusted the collar to its smallest size possible and clipped off most of the overage but I was able to adjust it to fit properly by taking a “ponytail” holder and bunching up the excess collar so the fitting was now as it should be-not to tight but now just right with still a little bit of give. We started to see results almost immediately! Now, she may bark once or even twice but she usually responds as soon as it beeps and then she stops. But the design of this collar is brilliant because it gives the dog several beeps/sounds before it vibrates a few times and then it isn't until all of that occurs that it delivers a mild shock! As described and when it is worn appropriately it works like a “T”. Although we remove it at night to give her a break and also charge it over night, it really isn't necessary to charge it for at least a day or two or even more (we haven't really waited any longer than that). Also, at night I give her a really good scratching on her neck once I take it off because I know that it must itch her a little because she rubs it against the couch on occasion. This is probably one of the best $26 investments I've made and my opinion of bark collars has been completely changed so much so that I bought a second one for our other dog, who was sometimes the instigator (although she would usually stop barking after a minute or two unlike my other baby) and I will write another review if it works just as well for her too! With Amazon’s AWESOME return policy, I never hesitate to purchase the items we need because I know that if it isn't what I thought it would be or it doesn't fit or something like that it’s just a simple trip to the UPS drop off location and I'm credited for it usually on the same day.

The collars do work. When the dogs bark we can hear the tone. It's still a bit early on in our bark collar experience to know if this is going to stop our dogs from barking. They hear the tone, and it does quite them for a bit. But it has not stopped the barking all together. But we are very hopeful that this will come in time. The collars themselves are very nice quality and I like the idea of not having a remote to push a button on (because you can never find the remote when you need it). This has a built in handsfree beep, vibrating, shock. Easy to adjust. Looks great, very easy to use.We really like it so far. 5*

My dog has never known the feeling of being alone for the past 9 years of his life. Before I moved into my new place, I used to live with my dad so Charlie, my chocolate lab, never was alone in the house by himself for more than 30 minutes. When we finally moved into my own apartment he had a very difficult time adjusting and would cry for the entire 8-9 hours that I was at work. I had to find something that would not only keep him from howling and barking but was safe and humane to use. After reading the reviews I decided on a bark collar but only use the beep and vibrate function and it has been an absolute god send. The beep is loud enough and the vibrate option is strong enough to avert his attention when he goes into frantic mode and starts barking and howling. It teaches him to stay calm and just chill when I leave for work where before he would go into panic and anxiety mode once I left and I am extremely thankful that I found this and I'm sure my neighbors are as well.

I had it for less than a week before it just randomly stopped working. Tried charging it to no avail. It also never bibrated or shicked my dig just the beep. Do not recommend this collar unless you want to waste your money.
