Description

This Aluminum Radiator is designed to provide maximum cooling efficiency to prevent premature engine failure. Its light-weight, and high-heat transferring aluminum features a tube and fin design that, dramatically increases surface area that enables the heat to dissipate more efficiently. This Aluminum Radiator is at least 40% more efficient than stock ones. Most importantly, it has a much higher capacity for coolant than stock ones, which means that your cooling system will be more efficient and will be more resistant to temperature surges in racing applications. The fan and the fan shroud effectively drive the heat over and out the engine compartment rather than thrusting it into the front of the engine. The fan shroud basically houses the fan blades securing it in place and keeping it from damaging the other engine components that may disturb the smooth and even operation of the engine. With excellent operating temperature management, allowable levels of engine temperature are stabilized. Investing in proper maintenance though will considerably benefit the ride and driving quality in maintaining the ideal working conditions of the engine.

After a fender bender I had to replace my radiator, fan, and fan shroud. All of those original parts for that vehicle would have been more than twice as expensive as this. This was a pretty close fit to the original stuff with minimal modification to the vehicle, some wiring work, and some guess work cutting and fitting some radiator hoses to get this in. All in all this kept that engine running cooler than the stock equipment as this was an inch taller, 2 inches wider, and twice the thickness of the stock core. The 2 electric fans are wonderful too, as this created room for days between the back of the radiator and the front of the engine. Which is great for things like working on the timing belt or replacing the water pump. No longer have to remove the shroud and fan to get to these components as these are so thin and still move a ton of air. Again, I don't remember what vehicle this was ment for, I just went off measured size and location of the radiator hose ports to chose this one to replace in a vehicle I didn't want to put money into and this was the saving grace to that vehicle Keeping it out of the scrap yard for a little while longer. I will probably keep the radiator for something else if this vehicles engine ever stops running (320xxx miles and still running on all original parts) ... show more

Great fit and looks amazing. Beautiful welds and cools my car 1000 percent better. Put this in a 1967 Mustang with a 347 Stroker. Cruising it stays 150. Idle doesn’t get about 165/170 with a 180 thermostat. Highly recommend if your having cooling issues. It’s larger than the original 2 core brass radiator so with some small brackets she is solid. ... show more

Came with passenger side bent, probably from shipping or poor QC. It's also wider so it does not fit my stock 67 radiator support. The welds are also very messy and not neatly finished. One could probably spend some time on it cleaning it up, but you'll have to get the clear coat off first. Came dull sheen, not aluminum shiny. ... show more
