Unit is a compact-ish type size. Gave lots of room for cables/wire harness I bought in addition to so I could retain my steering wheel controls etc. Only negative thing I can say about this 8s I wished I got a floating screen but alas, I didn't have the money for those if I had a smaller vehicle this would have been zero issue, but given the inside of my interior, a larger screen would have balanced things out. Sometimes I feel like I'm working on my galaxy s 23 ultra from a far. Lol. But overall, the radio itself is great. Great sound and responsiveness. In case you missed it, you can set 2 phones connected to Bluetooth, and I believe you can use them at the same time. U just can't use the same apps. Wireless car play/Android auto is awesome. Never thought this would be important but one thing I noticed, for Android auto...there is small latency between voice commands. However with that being said, it's not as bad than what I experienced on my wife's 21 hylander. It's totally doable/acceptable. Not much else to speak on. It's an aftermarket radio that works well and aside from the overall size, extremely pleased with it. ... show more

    • Very nice unit with awesome functions and low depth profile
We are professional installers and this unit is very nice. Can be complicated to install for an inexperienced DIY. The touch screen is very responsive and interface/user functions are very intuitive. It puts out good power and tuning is impeccable. We have it running 2 Pioneer 6x9s and 2 Pioneer 5-1/4s then a 500 watt Kicker amp and 12" subwoofers in a sealed box.     • Great wireless Android Auto
Installation instructions were a little hard to decipher but that seemed like a personal problem. It's a little slow when you touch any button, like one second for switching to radio from Bluetooth, but is very reliable. Wireless Android Auto is great and auto connects when you get in the car after the initial setup. Parking brake switch is required to be connected for Android Auto setup, I tried leaving it disconnected but it didn't let me use Android Auto. Separate wire purchase required for steering wheel controls but the head unit has the capability. You can customize the background with your own pictures if you load them on a USB drive I believe. Camera was setup done by hooking up the ground and positive wire that came with the camera to the reverse light and the RCA cable up to the brown RCA on the head unit.     • Stay Away. Buy a KENWOOD.
I had this professionally installed. After a few months CarPlay would crash and would restart. Now the unit intermittently loses audio or once in a while black screens. I contacted pioneer. They were more than useless. I’ll never buy another pioneer product again.
