DMC created and produced these 16 colors as an Exclusive Colors set in 2013, but shortly after discontinued them (as DMC is known to do), to the disappointment and dismay of many vocal stitchers around the world. In November of 2021, DMC began to sell their "old stock" of these color skeins, both in thread packs and as "open stock" items. This thread pack of the Exclusive Colors has 16 thread colors that are split into two palettes: eight soft, natural shades and eight bright, vibrant hues.
