I bought this jacket to take to Antarctica, and it proved to be perfect! It packs well and you can squish it pretty small in an airtight bag. It was waterproof from snow and splashing water on the zodiacs. It was warm and cozy with the fuzzy lining in the body. The adjustable velcro on the wrist feature was very convenient to keep snow off your skin and to seal the jacket tight around your gloves. The hood is nice and roomy and protected the sides of my face and ears, plus it was removable if you do not need a hood. My only negative is that I wish it had more pockets. I usually wear a size medium, but I bought it a size up so I could easily layer clothing underneath. So I would say it fits true to size, with the arms being plenty long enough (I have very long arms and I usually have a hard time finding clothing that fits properly). I bought the bright blue one, and the color was beautiful and vibrant as shown in the picture online. This was a great purchase, and the price was great too! I like this jacket very much. It has warmth without bulk. Lot of pockets with zippers are great. Hood is good, but imitation fur is not thick, would rather have none at all. Great jacket for the money.

Jacket is super warm and lightweight. Hood fits over my head nicely and isn't snug. Used this during the rainy season and stayed dry. I was unsure because the jacket was such a great price but it was definitely worth every penny. My only criticism is the straps on the wrists are stiff and rub when i dont wear gloves, but I'm probably going to get one for my whole family. ... show more

    • Not heavy winter coat
This coat fit me perfect. The coat hit right above my butt and the arm length was perfect. However, I'm 5'1 so the arms won't be long enough for an average sized woman and definitely won't be long enough. I actually bought it because another review mentioned it being made for a short, apple shaped person which pretty much describes me. The hood was decent and wasn't oversized like many others but it came down too far over my face. And the flaps on the hood won't close because they're not long enough to pull and velcro shut across the face. The color is absolutely beautiful. I got the blue. I got a 2XL and I'm 5'1 and weight 215lbs. It fit perfect but unfortunately the fleece lining is extremely extremely thin and won't keep me warm enough. I bought a wonderful ski jacket exactly like it in another brand and accidentally broke the zipper so I was trying to replace it. I decided to go with this brand as the previous brand didn't have pretty colors like this one. The previous brand had very thick sherpa lining and was incredibly warm. It also was made much larger so I could wear a hoodie under it. I remember watching everyone else freezing outside every morning waiting in the cold, absolutely miserable and I was perfectly comfortable in my warm coat. This is a cute jacket but probably not warm enough for anything under 30 degrees. And it's definitely made for short people. Other than that it looks well made. I bought this for a ski trip to Switzerland where the temperatures were usually between 10-25°F. This kept me amazingly warm, always dry, and very comfortable. I had full range of motion and never had to worry about it getting wet. Despite it being in the teens, I usually only needed a thin shirt under it to stay warm. Highly recommend! ... show more
