TL;DR - LOVING! slippery-yummy shinny fabric, slimming design, attention to details, very cool dark chocolate color, lightweight, minimal bulk, just true-to-size. UPDATE: I've been wearing it out and LOVE IT EVEN MORE - TONS of compliments! LOVE the material, and ALSO, it's pretty toasty (though I'm not testing in super freezing temps). LOVE the length I've never had a puffer coat hit below the knee, which I'm LOVING as well... really adds warmth. FIT: I'm 5'2" 155 and the large fits me without drowning me - and it can just zip up – it's not tight... but it's on the edge of being tight if that makes sense. Honestly, it's kind of the perfect balance of getting the slimmest fit on a larger size. Arms are not constrained at all. Wow! I'm surprised by how much I like this! Puffer coats are by definition bulky but designers made every attempt to minimize turning you into a marshmallow woman - the puffs are in the most flattering diagonal/chevron angle possible, and the fill is minimally bulky. Attached label says this will keep you warm in temps as low a 0º farenheit - I haven't been able to check yet, so can't say but that is the claim. Oh! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE this slipper-soft-slightly shinny outside fabric! Whoever designed this really tried and definitely paid attention to the details such as: cool subtle color choices, well-made, concealed zippers which don't contrast with the fabric color; a nice zipper pull. All over there are labels saying that the filler was made from recycled water bottles, so that's cool too! There are only 2 pockets, this isn't one of those winter coats with a million hidden compartments - that helps it maintain the slim look. I love the dark dark brown color. The only caveat/YMMV is the hood which is VERY MUCH PART of the design - it's not detachable. IMO it frames your face and I can can see why the pix use a model with big curly locks. If you don't want something around your neck like that, pass or you think it won't flatter. Otherwise, highly recommend! I feel like DKNY is stepping up their game - this is the 2nd item of theirs I've gotten in the last few months (the other was shoes) and both were higher quality than I expected - I see DNKY stuff at discount stores like Marshalls (love! no judgement!) but it had made me think that the brand was a little... tired. Maybe they have stuff they make ONLY for those stores? Keep up the good work DKNY! ... show more
