Compared with DJI Mic (2 TX + 1 RX + Charging Case), DJI Mic (1 TX + 1 RX) includes only one DJI Mic transmitter and does not include the charging case. The storage bag and charging cable are also slightly different. The rest of the accessories are the same. DJI Mic (1 TX + 1 RX) is suitable for solo operators to take vlogs or do livestreaming. An operating time of 5 hours is enough for needs like store visiting, vlogging and teaching online class. The price is also more affordable. Whether you're vlogging, podcasting, or live streaming, the DJI Mic has you covered. I typically only have ever used it on my camera for different shot angles to get high quality audio from wider compositions. Durability: The build quality of the DJI Mic is solid. It feels sturdy and well-constructed, capable of withstanding the rigors of daily use. The compact design and lightweight construction make it easy to carry around, perfect for on-the-go content creation. It is, at times, hard to get off the mount of my camera and I've worried I'll break it with how hard I have to take it off the hotshoe. Ease of Use: Setting up the DJI Mic is a breeze. The intuitive design makes this simple to use. The small touch screen can make it a tad difficult to navigate but its nice to be able to easily swap settings and see where you're at within the microphone settings. Sound Quality: The sound quality of the DJI Mic is exceptional. It captures clear, crisp audio with minimal background noise. The microphone effectively reduces wind noise, ensuring professional-quality sound even in outdoor environments. Comparing this to having previously had the Rode NTG shotgun mic and the Sony ECM-B1M, I really love the audio quality of this mic. The Only Minor Quirk: While the DJI Mic is fantastic, I do have one minor gripe. I also own a Sony ECM-B1M microphone, which is a great plug-and-play option. Sometimes, I forget to plug in the DJI Mic's cable to my camera, which can be a bit frustrating. However, this is more of a user error than a product flaw. A friend brought the duo onto set one day, and while I love my 10-year-old Senheiser lavs (still use them!) this one plugs directly into your phone. Since I shoot a lot more phone videos for myself and clients these days, I borrowed my friends to test it out and loved it so I had to get this and it does not disappoint! Audio is very clear, the clip on holds well (although it's bulkier than other lavs and shows more depending on garments) but it's super easy to connect, and of course the kicker is it can plug into your phone or camera (there are multiple attachments included). The tiny carrying kit is really a nice add on, as it keeps everything organized and safe in a little foldable zip pouch. Overall, really love this and will probably upgrade to the duo kit so I can have 2 similar lavs in the near future but for now, for a single person audio this is fantastic. ... show more

    • I really wanted to love this microphone…
Finally I had found “the one”… I was so excited about this microphone. After searching for a long time for something within my price point this really seemed like the best option, but I was wrong. Like many others had I read many good reviews so I went ahead with the purchase despite the hefty (for me) price tag. I received it and was immediately blown away by the sound quality… for a few weeks at least. BUT THEN IT BEGAN… The lightning end of the transmitter adapter suddenly came off. There was obviously a design problem here, because it came clean off with no obvious reason aside from normal usage. Instead of finding the adapter online somewhere at a cost to me I exchanged it for another one to give this microphone a second chance. No big deal, I assumed maybe I had just had a defective lightning adapter. So I get the SECOND one… Once again, I go back to using my shiny new DJI microphone and loving it for a few days this time. Then, all of a sudden… the recordings I would do had this weird loud “whining” noise going on. It sounded like some kind of electronic interference. It would constantly make this horrible noise while putting out loud distortion and sometimes just cutting off entirely. On some videos it worked perfectly, but on most others it made this horrible sound that ruined the entire video. I tried updating the firmware, but there are no updates. I tried adjusting TX/RX gains. I tried closing all the apps on my phone when recording. I even tried recording in the middle of nowhere to ensure there was no local interference. No matter what I did this microphone would never work for a clean recording any longer. Looking online I have discovered that I am not the only person having this problem. I know this is not a problem with my phone because the first one I received worked perfectly until the adapter failed. I have used other cheaper wireless microphones that never had a problem like this. Then, one day I recorded a significant video and to my horror all of the audio was completely useless. I had to redo the entire thing without a microphone. I could have returned it again and given this microphone a third try, but really when you’re trying to create content and you lose confidence in a piece of equipment it’s time to let it go. Thankfully these problems occurred right after I bought it. I can’t imagine how bad it would have been if it had broke after the Amazon return window and I was stuck dealing with a warranty process for this expensive microphone that should be built to last.
