Love it!!! I’m a complete beginner so was a bit nervous before buying a drone. My friend recommended this one and he couldn’t have been more correct. As someone who hates to check bags (even on 3 week trips) it’s small size is perfect!!! It’s Also incredibly easy to use and ridiculously impressive in its quality. Not just quality of photo and video (which is ridiculously good) but also in the quality in flying abilities. We used it on the beach where there were some seriously crazy strong winds and it didn’t even care. I was blown away ;) pun intended. I’m getting better with my control of it so my manual videos are looking good now vs jerky movements. But even so - the quick shots allow you to get professional looking videos without any skill. This is a good entry level or starter drone, as well as useful as a backup, or companion drone to others. Keep in mind that this is not the full sized mavic in terms of size, feature, functions and price. It does not have obstacle avoidance or some of the other autonomous modes as well as richer set of camera / photo / video features of the larger Mavics, Phantoms etc. Is it stable indoors and outdoors even in moderate winds? Yup. Does it have decent performance, range, endurance for a drone of its size and weight? Yup. What about the camera for photos and video? I would put it on par with about that of my Phantom III with 2.7K video, however lacking in the various photo modes, controls and settings. Can it take good photos and videos? Yup. Can it do autonomous panoramic photos? Not on its own, however you can manually shoot a pano then stitch it together with post processing software (see attached image), kind of old school drone mode ;). Video is good at 2.7K, nice and stable, granted without all the settings for modes. A complaint I have is not with the package or aircraft per say, its the early version of the DJI Fly App which needs more development and features added. Hopefully DJI will add some new feature functions via firmware and app software as well as clean things up to make this a five star aircraft. For now, its a nice companion to my Mavic Pro Plat and P4P. Updated: 11/22/19 Originally I gave this a 4 star and after having for over a week getting more time with it now will give it a 5 star. The DJI fly app is still a 2-3 star out of 5 that hopefully will improve over time. Something I have noticed is for video, fly as slow as possible and leverage the quick video features including a variation of point of interest (circle) and other modes. Have flown it at sunset and night (added firehouse lights, using 107.29 waiver) and pleased with what it can capture. The firehouse lights while bumping the drones weight up are useful during the day to be able to maintain VLOS further. As for sunset/night images, the brighter the subject the better the still and video images. Since it does not have the video controls of the larger DJI models night video of low light are not good, however for brighter lights, they are good. Word of caution, besides needing to add firehouse or other strobes for 3 mile vis and other nighttime considerations, the aircraft can move around a bit (even without wind) as it tries to hold its position. Likewise it does ok in a moderate wind, however you need to stay ahead of the aircraft anticipating what it might do based on some practice flights. Updated 1/8/20 with new firmware/software as of last week that enables location unlock, the mavic mini (MM) can now be flown in controlled airspace with authorizations. This means that if you are flying outdoors in controlled airspace you can get authorizations and unlock the MM for those locations. Note that this can also address previous issue of not being to fly indoors when you live or work in controlled airspace. ... show more

I am new to Drones and this one was easy to learn and to set up. I would suggest extra batteries if you want to fly for a while. The seller was awesome had 1 small issue ( small item missing I didn’t know it included at first ) it was a couple weeks before I got to use do to work. Realized when I shared link with friend it included this item. Reached out to seller and item arrived a couple days later. Great customer response and service ... show more

My first real drone ever purchased and this is an amazing product. Very easy to control, battery life is great, and the video quality is outstanding! Very small and compact and you dont need to be registered to fly it, since it weighs less then 250 grams. Took it out for a test flight and it went smoothly. Easy to set up, very portable which is what I like. The picture quality is good. I also have the mavic pro 2, but this one will probably be my favorite drone. Will update if anything comes up.

Love every aspect of this drone. Super reliable, learned how to fly in about two days, and the content produced is superb. Controller loses signal sometimes (it’s quite a scare) but it reconnects easily, and the drone has multiple failsafe protocols to make sure it’s safe. Would definitely recommend this drone to anyone who wants to learn how to fly, and look professional while at it. Seller was also great. I have purchased the DJI Mavic Mini drone from SSE Photo & Video recently. This is a new drone by DJI. The drone is great and there are no issues with the item itself. But since it's a first version of the model, the software is not perfect yet. As an example, the whole area around my place (several miles in each direction) is restricted and I couldn't fly. With other DJI drones you can unlock area and fly, but not with Mavic Mini. DJI is working on the fix, but it would take a while... Selling a new product is a risk and every seller understands it. It can be defective, there might be issues with the items, software, etc. and sellers have to take this risk into account. In my case the software to operate the drone wasn't ready and I couldn't use the drone properly and make videos I wanted. I returned the drone. After a while SSE Photo & Video replied to me saying that they are keeping 20% of the cost since the item doesn't have any physical defects. This is completely not acceptable. ... show more
