Notes All data on this page was measured using a production model of DJI Avata 2 in a controlled environment. ‌Actual experience may vary depending on the environment, usage, and firmware version. All videos and images on this page were shot using DJI Avata 2 by professionals in strict compliance with local laws and regulations and have been variously edited in post-production. The videos and images are for reference only; actual results may vary. Always observe local laws and regulations and ensure the aircraft has obtained relevant certifications and airspace authorizations before flying. All images, videos, and screen display contents about the product itself on this page are for reference only. Actual product effects (including but not limited to appearance, color, and size) and screen display contents (including but not limited to backgrounds, UI, and illustrations) may vary. 1.Requires DJI RC Motion series product or DJI Goggles series product, which are available for separate purchase as needed. Check the adaptation document for more details. 2. Sold separately. 3. Compared to DJI Avata. 4. Requires DJI RC Motion series product, which is available for separate purchase as needed. Check the adaptation document for more details. 5. Referring to DJI Mini 4 Pro and DJI Air 3 camera drones. 6. HDR video is available in two scenarios: A. EIS is turned off, recording at 4K/2.7K/1080p@60/50/30fps with a 16:9 aspect ratio or at 4K/2.7K/1080p@30fps with a 4:3 aspect ratio. B. EIS is set to RockSteady or HorizonSteady, recording at 4K/2.7K/1080p@30fps with either a 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio. 7. To use Gyroflow stabilization, turn off electronic stabilization in the goggles menu before flight and set the angle to wide-angle to ensure that the footage is recognized by Gyroflow and stabilized effectively. 8. The maximum flight time of the aircraft is measured at a constant flying speed of 21.6 kph in a windless environment at sea level, with camera parameters set to 1080p/30fps, video mode off, and from 100% battery level until 0%. Data is for reference only. Always pay attention to reminders on the goggles screen during your flight. 9. DO NOT connect the charger, connect external devices, or insert/remove any batteries during power accumulation. 10. The 13km transmission distance can only be achieved under the FCC standard when measured without interference in an open outdoor environment. The above data shows the farthest communication range for one-way, non-return flights under each standard. During your flight, pay attention to RTH reminders on the goggles screen. 11. Measured using 1080p/100fps video transmission, tested outdoors in an open interference-free environment. 12. DJI Avata 2 is factory set to automatically perform Return to Home (RTH) if the drone signal is disconnected, and users can change the setting to hover or land before takeoff according to the actual flight scenario. 13. If the 5.8GHz frequency band is not available (such as in Japan), screen sharing to the smartphone via Wi-Fi is not available. To achieve this function, a wired connection is recommended. Before flying, check and confirm local radio and aviation laws and regulations. 14. Tested in an open outdoor environment free of interference. The video transmission distance varies with the operating environment. 15. The power loop feature has a fixed radius and speed, which cannot be altered. The loop radius is set at 5 meters, and the minimum effective height is 1.5 meters.

  • A compact solution - Great addition for the run and gun film maker
Style: Fly More Combo (3 Batteries)
At first I did not like this drone and felt I should have stuck with the conventional drones ( like my AUTEL 6k drone I crashed and replaced with this at half the price) and not gone with FVP - There are a couple of moves I love to do with the conventional drone I've not been able to master on this drone yet - But now I am finally mastering this drone , I have to say its s lot of fun, kind of like a video game experience if your into flying games. (Starfox is the last video game I played : giving away my age) PRO's A fair price / compact and easy to travel with - very little weight / an easy unit to start and get up in the sky / LOVE the on board memory - no fiddling around with cards, although you have that option / Very well constructed : hit a tree the drone fell over in the forest, I thought "it's a wrap" I double clicked the take off button, and the drone was on it's side I could see from the angle of the camera , and somehow this little sucker started up took flight, wrestled its way through branches and twigs etc and I managed to get it back in the sky and return home (impressive) so it's pretty indestructible in my experience thus far - a great design with the propellers being encased. CONS: because it is very light it feels like a cheap toy, but that may be also it's strength, but it does not handle windy skies like a heavier drone, when your flying it looks like it's wobbling around but when I check the footage it's not as bad so maybe there is some internal gimble thing happening that's adjusting for that. I can't seem to do a full Birdseye shot parallel to the ground without the camera filming a corner of the propellers in the shot. OVERALL : a great drone for the price and amazing for sports and flying like a jet pilot speeding towards a roof top and you can zoom right over the top accurately missing the roof by inches. Even with a 6k drone in my travel rig for the cinematic shots sweeping around spinning in a circle, while turning angles etc - this done has it's own applications so it's apple and oranges and there will be times you can fly this drone into one window of a house and out the other widow a lot easier than a larger drone. And the images are crisp . I will get my monies worth out this drone for sure = good job DJI ... show more

  • Quality Fun Drone With Awesome 4K Video
Style: Fly More Combo (3 Batteries)
To start with, I own the original DJI Phantom 4K drone. It is a beast, reliable and still works perfectly. I just hate having to connect to a tablet or phone each and every time. Plus the size, it's far from portable. I wanted a drone that was portable, quick and easy to setup each time with great video picture and of course, it had to be DJI. I was hesitant on this one as I also want the Air 3S when it comes out, if it comes out to the mass market in the U.S. I went ahead and picked this Avata 2 and got the Fly More Combo Pack with 3 batteries. This is the best way to buy this as you will use the extras it comes with and will save over $150 from buying the extras seperately. Even though I own a DJI drone, there was still a bit of a learning curve. My main appeal for this drone was the FPV Goggles you get with it. I am used to a tablet or phone and never used goggles. Man, it is a whole new world. I have used this drone only a few times due to our great Oregon rainy weather, and flying with goggles is so much different. You are part of the flight and not just on the sidelines. The hardest part is learning the distance of the drone from trees, people and surroundings you can't see. You basically see what is in front of you, above you or below you, depending on how you point the camera. It's pretty awesome, but it does take some getting used to. start slow and cautious and be in an open area to start. Have a chair as some people may not be able to stand well as again, you feel you are part of the drone. Joystick is a love/hate relationship. It is new and I am still learning it... a little. I went ahead and bought the RC Controller 3 si i can use manual mode as well as familiar control similar to my Phantom. A beginner that has never used a controller may get used to it faster, but for myself, it is a real challenge. I wish they included the controller and not the joystick. Note: You need to use the joystick for ARCO meneuvers. These are the flips and such. The drone itself is very small compared to my Phantom and is very light. Handles very well and easy to control. The uodating and binding (linking) the drone, controller and/or joystick and goggles was pretty easy. You can use either joystick or controller and if you want to switch, you can do it without programming. The Avata 2 is pretty quiet, quick and very responsive. Battery time states 23 minutes....yeah, in a perfect world. Batteries last me about 17-18 minutes of flight time. That's really not too bad as I shoot 4K video continually and up/down alot as well fast top speed runs. I have only shot 4K 60fps and it is clear, beautiful videos. All and all, this is an awesome and fun drone. Again, get the extra batteries 'Fly More Combo' as you will need them. This combo pack also has a 3 battery charger which makes it easy to charge your batteries. The case it comes with is really good quality and can fit everything inside it, including the extra controller. Overall I rate this drone a 4.5 right now. Had it come with the controller instead of joystick, it would be a solid 5. Highly recommend it. Oh, I am planning on also getting the Air 3S still. I love shooting video and that one has a top of line camera. I am not complaining on this included camera though. It shoots great video. Don't pay more than the $1199 SRP though for this set. I see some outrageous pricing.... ... show more

  • Perfect drone for making videos and sight seeing.
Style: Fly More Combo (1 Battery)
This is my first pricey drone ever purchased and First DJI product ever.. Let me first say this drone is fun, fast and probably one the best investments you can make for creating videos.. When you get the drone. Make sure you get the insurance with DJI because after a few crashes you will notice the drone is very strong. But the drone is not indestructible 😅 you crash if you fly for fun. I have had 4 replacements within the last year. If it was not for the insurance i would had to pay over $900 per new aircraft or whatever the repair costs are and i dont want to know what the costs are 😆. So before this purchase. I Have always purchased the cheap drones around $100 and below for fun. I originally got this drone because i am an aspiring actor, musician and content creator.. The camera on the drone is hard to beat when you combine the drones capabilities. The only problem is it will not record sound. What i did was purchase noise cancellation bluetooth mics for my phone under $10 and use a voice recording app.. When i edit my videos i just sync the sound with the video in adobe before i make any cuts. You cant even hear the drone 😊. If you have any questions i will be happy to show you with my drone or just answer them for you to the best of my ability. ... show more
