I used a couple of these when routing my #6 wires in 3/4" liquid-tight conduit. I was able to use the 6x6 for this. Of course, the 4x4 is too small for my #6 wire situation. It is a good product. Just be prepared. To maintain watertight integrity, there are no knockouts or holes. I actually appreciated that allowing me to drill the 1" holes where I wanted them in the boxes. Likewise, drilling my own screw-size holes in the back let me mount them the way that I wanted to mount them. ... show more

The product is a nice pladtic o ring sealed box of advertised dimensions. The screws at corners are plastic removable screws. The box comes with 3 spare corner screws. The threads on these screws and in box corners seem slightly out of sync as its easy to cross thread the screws. Other than that its a decent box ... show more

This was the best deal I could find for a larger outdoor junction box. I am using this to hold a cable that will be used in the future. This cable was run prior to finish work so access to it from inside is limited. This comes out of the wall and enters this box and is coiled up nicely. I had to drill a hole in the bottom to accommodate the cable. The cable was put into a fitting and sealed off the opening. I then mounted this to a post next to the structure. This included 2 sets of plastic screws to secure the door. One in the door and another set inside, in case you drop or lose some. ... show more

It's a good box. Will definitely do the trick. Minus a couple stars, not at the fault of the box but at the fault of Amazon and myself. The search was for 'metal junction box'. This thing is plastic, so minus one star. The first pic could go either way, but I was in a hurry and totally didn't look at other photos which would have identified the problem so minus another star. I hear you out there thinking "this guy must be mental if he's subtracting stars because he's stupid." Ya. I thought the same thing. But, if you look at the first pic, it really could go either way. I bought 2, they are poorly designed, the hinges are very flimsy, the hinge pin is not fully encased. One enclosure was dented on the corner. A corner on the 2nd enclosure easily broke off near one screw. These will not hold up in my outdoor application. I am purchasing 2 much better enclosures for very little more money. ... show more
