  • A wonderful and relaxing way to spend your "Me Time" A wonderful and relaxing way to spend your "Me Time"
I am the Dad of a 15 yr old who was born with Cerebral Palsy, is non-verbal, has Autism and several other diagnosis. With all of that you might picture him as a crippled boy in a wheelchair, my son is the exact opposite. He is a very capable almost 6’ tall young man. When he goes to bed at night “my time” begins. I usually spend it building something which helps me focus on something entirely different and is relaxing to me. This kit has been one of my favorite things to work on during “my time”. I can get completely lost in all of the little paper pieces, bobbles and bits that are used to create this fabulous little fantasy world. All of the illustrations used are top notch. Everything is printed very well on high quality paper. All of the wood board parts have gone together very easily so far and I do not expect any trouble continuing. If you like models, Dioramas, Doll Houses, or anything similar you will absolutely love this kit. It has been such a help with keeping myself grounded mentally a.d is super enjoyable. I can not recommend it enough. I tried to find anything at all that I would change about this kit. I came up with 3 minor observations/recommendations. 1.The printed sheets are slightly larger than the inner dimensions of the box which causes the edge of the papers to bow and bend. This was not an issue for me because any wrinkles caused by the bending were near the unused edge of the paper. I could see this possibly causing a problem. 2.The tool set included is of pretty low quality and would probably frustrate most builders. The only part of it I used was the tweezers. I used the tools and glues I already own and had on-hand to build my kit. I love the idea of including these items as it makes building kits so much more accessible for first time builders or new hobbyists but if you are going to included tools they could use a bit of an upgrade. The included box cutter/knife is really terrible as a parts cutter. I do not recommend using it all. Get an Exacto knife or Hobby Knife, you will be happier and safer. 3.When I opened my kit one of the small bags container a bunch of small bobbles and bits had not been sealed well and came open during transport. It was not a problem to pick them up and return them to the bag but it is possible to lose pieces if your bags are not sealed. One tip is to use 2 types of glue. A good paper white glue like Elmers and some kind of tackier glue similar to Beacon 3-in-1 Craft Glue or Aleenes Original Tacky Glue which are easy to find and work very well. I used all of the glues mentioned plus Titebond Translucent Wood Glue. I used the Titebond on the majority of wood pieces. An absolutely brilliant kit for just about any hobby builder. • A Tiny World of Charm: A Rewarding Miniature Dollhouse Kit Experience A Tiny World of Charm: A Rewarding Miniature Dollhouse Kit Experience
I recently finished assembling this delightful miniature dollhouse, and it’s been an incredibly rewarding project. This kit provides everything needed to create a cozy, detailed scene, reminiscent of a tiny library or study. The attention to detail is absolutely amazing—down to the tiny books, lamps, and delicate plants. The assembly process does require patience and a steady hand, but the instructions are clear, and the materials are high-quality. The wooden pieces fit together well, and the included lighting really brings the scene to life. When illuminated, it feels like you’re peering into a magical little world. The finished product is charming and perfect for display, adding a touch of whimsical charm to any room. It’s a wonderful project for anyone who enjoys hands-on crafting and is looking for a beautiful, intricate piece to showcase. Just be ready to dedicate some time and care to the assembly, but it’s absolutely worth it for the end result. ... show more

  • Fun & Creative but not for beginners Fun & Creative but not for beginners
Color: Green
All parts were there, unlike what some others have experienced, but the directions (like nearly all of these Chinese products) are less than adequate. This one had no written instructions at all, just photos and the overall assembly after the individual pieces were assembled was mostly guess work. I had difficulty lining up the plastic with the unlying framework. That was all as a result of difficulties in getting proper alignment of the base and supporting framework in sync. Another drawback is that in order to turn on the light the finished product has to be lifted up since the mechanism is underneath. As viewers can see from the photos, the final finished product is really cute. I veered from the directions on several things, either because the details were hard to work with (flowers are VERY time consuming) or I just wanted my own originality. All in all a nice finished product, but not for beginners and is best created by anyone who can read the Chinese mind, since directions on some parts are pretty vague. ... show more

  • Really Cool Results
Color: Green
Really cool, my first book nook, took way longer than I thought because you have to build almost every flower. But well worth it and I’m excited to give it to one of my daughters.

  • A wonderful time A wonderful time
This kit is fun. A thing to keep in mind tho is the instructions are very picture driven. Do not throw away any pieced you punched out until the end also if not you my toss a piece needed later. This is a very intriguing, slightly tedious. Though it looks great for images.

  • Review for Magic Book House
This is not the type of book nook I like. Others may find it to their liking. This is the kind where you have to cut the books out of paper, fold the books, then glue them together to get a "hollow" paper book. (I bought already made books. 300 for $10 was worth it to me) It's the kind where you have to glue the wallpaper on instead of the walls being preprinted, where you have to "build" a lot of the decor such as lamps, vases, and candlesticks. None of the items are peg and hole. Everything must be glued. Everything. There is way too much fiddly stuff for my liking. Pros: It's really cute when it's done. Cons: The boards are way too thin, like balsa. Some are warped so the furniture is warped. Some break when being punched out, especially the picture frames. I've found a few of the decor pieces to be missing, but just a few. The instructions are lacking. Some of the pictures show completed steps that haven't been presented yet. i.e.: a picture of the stairway with the balcony banisters already done but, the steps for adding balcony banisters come later. Sometimes the instructions aren't there at all. i.e.: There's a picture in a blue frame and the instructions don't have directions as to where it goes. I ended up with quite a few extra pieces. The instructions for wiring talk about red and white wires, but the kit contains grey and white wires. This is not a kit for beginners. However, there're really good videos on the Daniel Builds YouTube channel if you're really hankering to have this one. ... show more

  • Fantastic gift
I got this for my fiance for Christmas. It was perfect. Jump started his love for making dioramas and minis for D&D. It so cute and function I love it and he gets to be creative so he loves it. Win win It's easy to put together for someone new to making things, may need to get your own glue and other stuff just to have on hand. Other than that it's totally worth it ... show more

  • Waste of money
The actual wooden pieces are nice, but I didn’t know I’d have sheets of paper with little designs to cut out. One light fixture took an hour to try to wire, but the wire is too thick to go through the pieces. Doesn’t come with any glue, which is a necessity for all the paper you have to glue onto the pieces. But there’s no real way to hang the light fixtures that I can see. Finally, there are no real instructions, so your guess is as good as mine how it all goes together. ... show more
