  • Works Great!
The sled bed I made with this kit works amazingly well Well !

  • Basic hardware kit.
This is a basic hardware kit for making a crosscut sled. It includes two UHMW runners that fit my saw’s T-tracks perfectly, two 12” T-tracks, a T-bolt and knob, and some screws. I never use the common screws included in kits. Too many have broken off, resulting in an extra effort to remove them and salvage the project. Buy trusted fasteners locally. The instructions for producing the sled are more of a guide, not detailed plans. The description states “not for T-slots or Ryobi saws”. The slides fit perfectly in my Jet T-slots. The kit was $20.00. You could probably save some by buying longer stock and cutting to length, but this is priced reasonably. ... show more

  • Its a simple jig set to set up
I have always struggled to make my own table saw sled. I could never get it just right. Either my alignment was off or I miss measured and had too much slop or it was too loose. This kit has allowed me to make a sled thats not a struggle to use. The accuracy is kind of a moot point because it comes down to how thw maker aligns all of the components. Overall, it's a good product. ... show more

  • Basic Kit For A Basic Crosscut Sled
This is a basic, no frills kit to make a basic, no frills crosscut sled. I would say that this kit is good enough for beginner woodworkers. Some tips when using this kit: #1: A few pieces of thin double sided tape on the top of each bar works better than the CA glue (super glue) the instructions tell you to use (CA glue doesn't work very well on UHMW). #2: I would suggest using a Forstner bit to make your countersink and then using a pan head or button head screw to attach the bars to the sled. Don't overtighten the screws as this will deform the UHMW. To sum up: this kit, will help you make a perfectly acceptable crosscut sled for a beginner but the instructions leave a little to be desired. ... show more

  • Reasonable quality kit for building a crosscut sled
Great for building your first crosscut sled. The runners move smoothly and at $20 plus scraps you probably already have around the shop you can put together the sled pretty easily and affordably. There are some other options like the MicroJig that have some advantages, but you will pay for the privilege. ... show more

  • It's an OK kit
You could probably order the various parts for this kit for the same amount as is being charged here. The plans provided are more like guidelines in that they don't provide detailed cutlist. The sled they suggest you create will only be 24" wide, since they only provide 2 12" t tracks for the stop block. The HDPE rails are standard size, and fit fine into my delta table saw with no wiggle. ... show more

  • Doesn't fit
The plastic strips that are supposed to fit in the 3/4" channels that are in every table saw are too fat to fit, now what?

  • Good Kit
If you're looking to build your own cross cut sled, this is a great little kit. Granted, you can make one with scraps around the house but this will give you a truly quality sled when you're done. It comes with rails and everything you need to set one up. Parts are of solid quality and I'm definitely pleased with the order. Overall, I definitely recommend to anyone wanting to build their own sled! ... show more
