We have had these now for a year. They have held up good and the bat man wings keep them cozy. Only startle was when my daughter got into her car and forgot she had to men faces looking at her 🤣🤣 scared her to death!!

He absolutely loves his Batman seat. It doesn't have near the protection as a full size car seat and the cape is detachable for a reason... it gets in the way constantly. He took the cape off the seat because it would get tangled up while he was trying to get buckled in. He is 5 years old, around 50 lb. This, hopefully, will last him until he outgrows the need for a carseat.

My mom babysits my son once a week and will be needing a bigger car seat (eventually). I decided to purchase this one because I knew how excited both my son and mother would be. I was concerned about sacrificing safety for having a cool car seat. When it arrived, I was so happy that my worries were unwarranted. Here are the PROS and CONS that I found with it: PROS: - 5-point harness and LATCH connectors are a must for a safe car seat - the buckle and LATCHes don't feel chintzy to me. I also had no problem with them sticking (which is a current problem with the one I have in my own car). - It has the contoured headrest that gives me a bit of piece mind in case we are ever side swiped (I know that is a horrible negative way of looking at things but I'd rather be safe than sorry when it comes to my little boy!) - It is just as cool in person as it is in online photos. Probably even cooler in person. - It looked a little too cushy in the pictures - I had read on some car seat safety sites that excessive cushiness isn't always a good thing but it actually has the same feel as the car seat for the 3yr old that I watch - which I purchased due to its high safety rating. - Fun but practical added features: 2 cup holders (Batman looks like he's holding them - it's pretty freakin cool) and a cape that doubles as a light blanket. Love! - Transitions into a booster seat so you can continue to use it as your child grows. CONS - No child under 3 years old should use this car seat because they should still be in a rear facing position according to car seat safety US government regulations. - My mom had to install it and said it was very difficult - HOWEVER, this was her first time using the LATCH system and she's not really patient enough to read through directions before starting. Additional notes: I noticed that in someone's review it said that it was a bit too bulky and difficult to buckle the child in because of the armrests. I would just like to add that the car seat I have in my car for the 3 yr old I take care of is about the same size. If the Batman seat is bigger, it is a marginal difference. Most of the *really* safe car seats on the market are about this size - and they usually have the armrests as well. I can see why someone would find the armrests to be a hindrance but they so useful for holding drinks or snacks or toys that it more than makes up for it in my opinion! :) Also - shipping took a much longer time than a typical Amazon Prime member is used to - so keep that in mind if you are purchasing this as a gift or need it by a certain date. You need to give it sufficient time to arrive. I took pictures of my son in it even though he has a while before he can use it!

The girls loved the princess chair it spooked me a few times thinking their was someone really in the back seat bt overally its fits great in the car and buckles nicely
