This set is pretty. I actually purchased a second set to have enough settings for 8 people. The first set arrived in great condition. The second set needed to be exchanged as one plate was chipped and a bowl was completely shattered. The third set arrived in okay condition with one plate having a small hole in the glaze. The white plates and bowls show marks from silverware very easily, and it requires additional polishing to get those silver marks off. The brown and grey plates did not scratch easily. The size and weight of the bowls and plates are nice too.

Order #1 - One large plate arrived chipped and spoiled the set. I returned the set and asked for a replacement set. Order #2 - One small plate arrived chipped and spoiled the second order. I returned the set and asked for a refund. The refund was processed quickly. Thank you. Note that the packaging both from the item and Amazon packing was excellent. So, the problem had to be a defect when packing the item in China.

These are really beautiful! Nice weight and I love the streamlined design. They have a matte finish and immediately when I pulled them out of the box I thought they would show scratches when a piece of silverware scrapes against them, and I was right. I am so sad because I do love them. I go back and forth as to whether I will keep them and use them. Sometimes when I run them through the dishwasher to scratches go away, but most of the time they are still there. The seller says they will last for decades...I highly doubt this.
