  • Great sounding pedal
great pedal if your a METAL HEAD! the knobs are easy to use. there are countless setting you can look up on the web. it has six knobs u can play with, three internal settings and three gate settings. what more do u want. the only issue i have ever had with this pedal and is most likely user error is that sometimes when i palm mute a note the gain is so high my amp makes a horrible bass sound. like i said most likely user error. great pedal. def recommend to a friend ... show more

  • Don't bother
I live in Venezuela and bought this a couple of months ago. While this pedal sounds great, its reliability make it suck. It's been less than 4 months after I received it and it's already broke. The only sound I can get out of it is the clean guitar when I turn it off. When I turn it on, my guitar mutes completely. A quick browse through the Line 6 forum shows a lot of people with the same problem and the only solution they're offered is taking them to a customer service center. Well, I'm in Venezuela, and the only shop that sells this pedal won't replace it nor service it based on that I bought it outside of the country. Sending it directly to Line 6 or any other repair center is not an option because of the currency restrictions in effect in Venezuela, so I'm pretty much left with a useless pedal. Thanks a lot Line 6 for wasting my money, for making such a useless pedal and for not giving me options. I'm switching to the boss metal core. Do not buy this pedal, especially if you live outside the States or the UK, since that's where you have to take it when it breaks, which will surely happen. ... show more

  • Sounds great but eats batteries.. even when turned off.
I was impressed with the sound of the pedal, but noticed quickly that every time I used it I had to put in a fresh battery. I thought maybe it had been turned on accidentally or something, so I made sure to turn it off and put it where it would not be disturbed, yet still left it plugged in to the guitar and amp (the amp was off). I came back the next day to find it dead. I don't get how it could drain the battery while turned off, but I like the sound, so I am here on Amazon buying an adapter cord. I just wanted to see if anyone else was having the same problem, and also to let people know what to expect if it is a common issue. ... show more

  • Not a bad Pedal
I expected more from Line 6 but it's a good pedal and I would recommend it..But they should lower the price by at least twenty bucks. I am also tired of these pedals selling their power plugs separately ..For one hundred bucks you can't include the dang power plug? The battery won't last for a day if you play it enough BTW. This pedal will give some good gain/distortion though it could be heavier ..Like I said , a good pedal but not worth a hundred bucks. ... show more

  • Amazing for Metal and clear high gain solos!
wanted this pedal for so long, and now that I have it I just can't stop enjoying it, I can get the tone from my line 6 spider IV anywhere I go, and with extras, my amp lacks of that bass metal end, but this pedal adds it and keeps the tone, perfect for crazy riffs and stunning solos, and the clarity that adds to the tone is amazing, I prefer this one over my Boss MT-2 metal zone on it's tone and versatility ... show more

  • I Own Tone Dock Version
I bought this pedal using Line 6's Tone Dock module method and have had it since early March of this year. While the tone is meaty it takes a bit to fiddle & find 'your tone' which is that sweet spot in the sound spectrum where it's musical bliss. That tone where even if you play like crap, it still sounds reasonably good. (LoL) However with that said, the three tone settings it offers are okay. My favorite is the middle setting as that most resembles the Boss Metal Zone pedal. The first setting is worthless in my opinion & the last is rarely usable for my style of play. The Gate settings have their uses but typically I leave it at the middle setting. I'm playing a Squire 72 Tele (dual humbuckers) through a Peavey 212 Transtube amp and at low volumes the pedal is okay but it really shines when you crank some power out of an amp. There's no noticeable hum or noise to speak of. The tone is sweeter at louder volumes & even switching tones is simplistic. I bought this because I'd plugged into a Line 6 at the music store some time ago & loved the sound but not the amp's price. I figured buying the Line 6 pedal would give me that metal crunch I heard in their amp but not quite. Still I've not sat & fiddled a lot with the controls since I got it. Most of the music I play is more crunchy without mush and the pedal does an acceptable job simulating those tones with my guitar & picking style. Some complain about the size of the pedal - meh. I don't feel a need to fill up a pedal board with a lot of useless or one-off song effects. If I can't use it for more than one song, forget it. I gave this one 4 out of 5 stars only because it didn't quite measure up to the Line 6 amp that I originally played through at the music store. Otherwise it's a solid deal for the price. ... show more

  • Hoooooooo babeh
THIS IS IT. This. If you play metal, look no further. I've played cheap distortion pedals. I've played expensive ones. This pedal arrived in the mail and right away I stopped using my 200$ Sovereign Distortion. The Uber Metal is insanely diverse. It's hard to make up my mind. I'm always tweaking and playing with the knobs and it never sounds bad. I highly recommend this pedal. Might buy a second. ... show more
