Quality and style with easy of use make this an excellent product. I previously had purchased an all-in-one travel accessory kit by Jeep which contained a seat protector too. That seat protector was essentially a thick tarp with mesh pockets at the bottom. It did not have a piece to help secure it to the actual seat of the car and it was so slippery that it was quite difficult to get it to stay in the right place while trying to put a car seat on top. It also didn't have the "backsplash" that the Diono has. The Diono has a rubbery grip on both sides and a solid lining of foam. It is wide enough for our Graco Nautilus seat without being too wide. We have it in our 2012 Camry right now, but I'm ordering another one for the 2012 Sienna since it is so much better than the Jeep product I still have there (which does nothing to protect against deep indentations in the upholstery either). This is a must have for anyone who has leather seats and car seats. You want to make sure your car seat is tight and snug and that normally results in the car seat digging into the leather seat. This cover gives great protection of the leather and prevents the indent marks that these car seats tend to use. This one is really great design that does not stand out a lot and protects the seat. Nice fit. Time will tell if it helped protect the white vegan leather seats. Easy to install, good coverage. I once used it to fend off a cantankerous raccoon so it is versatile. It is not too fancy so I feel I could also recommend this for Amish horse drawn buggies.

Father of twin 3-year olds here with a short leash for all things dirtying up the SUV. With two car seats holding two constantly moving, constantly hungry boys in the back row, the Diono Super Mat Seat Protector (I bought two) is both a savior and a stress reliever. The thin design fits seamlessly below the car seat and is designed to prevent the seat from slipping around. Once installed, all the food and drink messes that a road trip will throw at you get caught by the seat protector, and with regular upkeep should keep your back row stain-free. A plus is the small, low-hanging pockets that can hold your child's knick-knacks and toys that would normally end up on the car floor. Note that this product does not have a high-back plate; this seat protector is not recommended for rear-facing car seats as your seats are not protected from your child's dirty shoes. But once those kids are old enough to front-face and watch you drive while they munch on cereal and cookies, this product is a must-buy for any parents on the road. ... show more

I just installed this today (and just turned my Diono car seat forward facing) and the pad itself was super easy to install. It is a bit narrow, which works great with the Diono car seat, but if your seat is wider, might be an issue, for catching food and other things. Not really sure what the point of the flap is that goes into the seat...I think it would be better served for vans/SUVs, if it had a reinforced slit in it to go around the tether bracket. Overall, the nonslip grip is great. My seat isn't going anywhere and should keep most of the Cheerios out of the back of the seat! I drive a Toyota Sienna (please don't mind the mess...the van is getting a bath as we speak!!), just for vehicle reference. ... show more
