I have a 2013 Ford Explorer and need a 3 across rear facing car seat. We love these to fit 3 across but this does not fit rear facing! My driver seat is ALL the way forward and it’s still touching the back of the seat. I am also using the rear facing angle adjuster. I’ve moved it to my husband’s F-250 and it will has a couple inches of clearance. Not made for mid size SUVs rear facing! ... show more

This product is perfect if you own a smaller car but not a smaller family. I am grandmother to three young girls who are all still in car seats or booster seats and I drop off and pick frequently at day care and kindergarten. I own a Mustang Mach e. I could not get three normal sized car seats in my car, but with this car seat I can get all three in my car. This car seat is huge but love this brand. It is pricey so recommend catching it on sale. This is for my one month old but my 2 year old also sits in the same seat. I have 2 car seats and a booster seat and they all fit next to each other in the back seat. We have a Chevy mailbu and a Traverse for reference. It’s so safe and easy to clean.     • Does not work in VW Alltrack

I bought two of these for our 2016 VW Alltrack. It does NOT work forward facing. I never got around to trying rear facing (but why bother if it doesn't fit forward facing). We currently use a Britax One4Life which works great, is easy to install, and frequently is installed/uninstalled. I had great hopes the Radian would help us give the front passengers a little more space, my forward facing 4 yr old (30lb) a little more space, be lighter weight for constant in/out, and be a better seat for airplane travel. Using both the latch and the seatbelt path, the VW Alltrack just does not work with this seat. There is also no way to lock off the seatbelt to help it stay tight. Fails the 1 inch test. Tried the "let it sit", pulling, sitting in it...you name it, we tried it. The VW Alltrack seat angle already requires a pool noodle for the Britax. However, because of the wedge cutout at the back of the Radian, the noodle did nothing to help improve seat angle to get a tight fit. Back to the carseat hunt. I do have a friend with a Tacoma and the Radian works in that vehicle. Good luck! ... show more

I’d been looking forward to getting this car seat and unfortunately ended up pretty disappointed. I’m very experienced with installing car seats and even after reading the manual and watching videos getting a proper safe fit was nearly impossible. I ordered the diono car seat protector and there was absolutely no way of installing the seat safely while using it (even though diono approves the protector for the seat!). On top of the difficult install I find the fabric shockingly cheap looking. It hasn’t even had a kid in it yet and looks pretty bad. While I’m sure the harness buckles work well they also feel incredibly cheap. When you consider the seats lack of recline options, heavy weight, price, and need to manually rethread the harness it just doesn’t make any sense compared to other slim car seats available. I definitely would not recommend this seat to anyone. ... show more
