There were 2 features I purchased this for. The narrow construction that allows for 3 carseats side by side. It took 2 of these and another narrow seat to fit forward facing in a Saturn ion. Second is the all in one. Won't need to buy another seat or booster. If used rear facing, these take up more room than other seats. They are tall, plus the angle make it difficult to fit in a small car with a tall person in the front seat. Would not work for an infant in my Ion. I also like that is very sturdy. There's lots of metal in the construction. Feels safer. The trade-off is that it's heavy. But that's not a concern unless moving it from car to car all the time. Have only used as a forward facing carseat so far. But I like all the options that it can be used for. There are less expensive seats, but having to buy a rear facing, then forward, then a booster ads up. May save money in the long run if starting with just this one all-in-one. On the other hand, the dedicated infant car seats that can detach are super handy for going into stores without unbuckling your baby. Something to consider. I’ve been a mom for over 10 years and out of all the car seats I have ever bought, Diono is my favorite. I was t-boned this past year with my 3 year old in the back. She walked away without a scratch. The car seat did it’s job, and when we went to the junkyard to collect our things and take pictures for insurance. We have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2 britax Marathon click tight carseats. One is rear facing, the other forward facing and this diono is forward facing as well. It fits great and my 4 year old seems more comfortable even though there is much less padding on this seat compared to the marathons. One thing I don't particularly like is the way it Jenks to the side when I tighten it. I'm not sure if we chose the wrong installation method or what, but it's anchored to the back with the lap belt installation and still Jerks to an uncomfortable degree when I pull the strap. Seems secure otherwise. I think this seat is best for older kids, I wouldn't feel comfortable putting my 1 year old in one of these bc of the lack of padding and support around the head but I knew that when I purchased it, and it's perfect for my 4 year old. It's also WAY easier to buckle and unbundled in comparison to the marathons. I LOVE that about it and the shoulder padding is longer which is nice bc she often complained about the straps digging in on her old seat. ... show more

I randomly decided to downsize from a three-row vehicle to a two-row vehicle, so I needed to find car seats that would fit 3 across comfortably. These car seats definitely work for that. The thing I didn’t like about them is the company’s attempt to save money by not providing any instructions in the box (3 new boxes and absolutely no instructions). There are picture instructions on the side of the car seats, but like most things, these car seats are a little different than other car seats, so more detailed instructions would’ve been appreciated-particularly for rear-facing installation. If they want to save money, maybe they should provide a QR code with links to instructions and videos. They didn’t so I was left trying to find instructions for my exact model. The belts that give you lax for anchoring are also really annoying. Broke a few nails in the process. ... show more

I purchased this car seat when I didn’t have much back seat space. I was able to fit this car seat into my car unlike a lot of other car seats. I appreciate that it saves on space but still seems quite durable. It does not come with cup holders like most car seats these days, however, I was able to purchase a separate cup holder attachment which has worked great. The seat is easy to install, and my child is much more comfortable in this seat as opposed to some other leading competitor seats. I wish I had bought this seats for both cars! ... show more

We have four kids so we’ve gone thru our share of car seats and boosters, for budgetary reasons we always went with what was the most affordable usually that means plastic and low quality materials that wear out fast. This product is the complete opposite of low quality, it’s solid and strong but very comfortable and my daughter loves it, we needed something that she can grow with, for the past few months she kept moving around and being very wiggly in the car, while cleaning the car I noticed her car seat was wearing out and felt very uncomfortable, this new seat looks great and my daughter is sitting perfectly. ... show more
