The Diono Radian 3R is the original slim-fit 3 across All-in-One convertible car seat, designed to protect from baby to booster seat (5 - 120 lb). Lovingly engineered with the famous Diono steel reinforced frame and now rear facing for even longer, expect 10 years of safety from just one car seat. Designed and engineered with complete rear facing protection, so you can keep them in a safe rear facing convertible car seat for longer up to 50 lb. Built with a mechanically engineered, reinforced steel frame, made from automotive grade high strength steel, the radian is always ready to shield and protect. And when your family grows, the slim-fit design will fit 3 across in most vehicles without compromising child safety or passenger comfort. Our SuperLATCH system (UAS Compatible) makes installation easy and super secure.     • Very very sturdy and strong probably one of the best on the market
Love the seats after having a car accident we decided to go for a much stronger and sturdier seat and this came in at top of the list they fold nice and flat for traveling on planes and things but just be prepared they are very very very heavy so would be hard to carry around a airport with child in arms also a little hard to instal but well worth it in the end love all the cool colors u can also choose from ... show more

    • Fits 2 in a row with additional infant seat in Toyota Camry!
We bought 2 of these to fit in the backseat of our 2010 Toyota Camry. 1 rear facing, middle forward facing, next to infant (Uppababy Mesa) seat. Middle forward facing was the only way it would fit. Pro’s: slim, sturdy, easy for our kids to get into themselves, latch system is easy/works well. Good customer service from Diono. Our first one didn’t have the rear-facing piece in the box. Cons: * Very heavy! * Tall backside. Check your car seat manual whether a car seat is allowed to touch/rest against the front seat (if rear facing). Now having moved one to the middle back seat (forward facing) on our Honda Odyssey, it sits higher and blocks the rearview a bit. Wasn’t an issue in the Camry. No cupholders- fine, since that wouldn’t fit anyway. Not as much padding, so perhaps less comfortable, but both our kids are fine in them. Overal conclusion: great car seat if you have a tight back seat! ... show more

My daughter is 42inches, 36lbs- 5 years old pictured here. We bought this car seat with the idea that i wanted a slim durable seat that my daughter could grow in to and have for a long period of time. Pros: • Narrow design, great for tight spaces • Comfortable without the need for extra padding • Minimalistic but feels very secure • Steel frame provides added safety Cons: • Quite heavy, not ideal for travel • Tall and wide when rear-facing, limits front seat adjustment (not pictured here) • Adjusting the shoulder height requires uninstalling the seat, which is inconvenient • Not versatile for use with multiple kids due to the need for frequent rethreading of the harness Overall, it’s a solid choice for safety and comfort but better suited for a dedicated setup rather than frequent switching or travel. ... show more

I would give this 4.5 stars if I could. It is one of the only seats that will fit my tall 7-year old boy that has a multi-point harness. It also has enhanced support for the head and neck (again, one of the only such models on the market that will fit a tall 7-year old). I say 4.5 instead of 5 because at least in a Tesla Model Y, it is impossible to get this seat 100% tight and immobile. That's a bit annoying and different from the baby / toddler seat I had before. However, compared to the standard issue "booster seat" that my boy could legally use, I am convinced that this provides much better protection even with a bit of "wiggle." ... show more
