This is a nice, solid, set. I just wish they were a true matte black. It's more of a matte brownish black. On some pieces there was a slight/minimal glazing issue where it doesn't look glazed at all.

This dinnerware set is classic and functional. They are light enough to handle with ease but not so light they feel cheap, they definitely have a good feel to them. I personally dislike awkward "chunky" dinnerware and these are not (thinking of an old style like Yorktowne if you know what I mean). So far they seem like they will hold up. We don't have a dishwasher so I can't attest to their durability with that. The plates taper up near the edges slightly, which I like and the bowls have nice fairly high sides are are shaped perfect (for me) for many different uses, soup, cereal, rice etc. The white (which is what I got) is classic and functional, also great if you don't like a lot of designs and prefer simplicity , this set also offers a little bit of a modern look and a little bit of class to a simple useful item. Unless your guests are going to lift up the plate and look underneath haha, there is no reason you couldn't use these to serve guests, no need to take the "fancy" stuff out,these are especially useful if you don't have a lot of storage space, these will function perfectly for both everyday use and guests nicely.

I love everything about these dishes. The color is fantastic, they are thick and sturdy, and the bowls' shape and the dinner plate's size are perfect. These actually match with a very expensive handmade dish set that I bought a few years ago and only use for holidays. I am thrilled to mix these with that set, and now I can use these every day because they are such a great value. I don't have to worry about breaking a $35 plate! These arrived well packaged, so no worries about them being broken. These are thick and durable dishes. My favorite thing about these is the larger bowl. It is the perfect size and shape for a salad or a chowder. I have just run these through the dishwasher, and I can't wait to use them when I make a salad for lunch today. Recommended for quality, color, thickness, and well-designed shapes of this set.

This set is a great in terms of the type of dishes included - all essential pieces. I was not however impressed with the quality of the plates - they do not all look perfect; some have little manufacturing marks and blemishes, not all even. It is microwave and dishwasher safe, but I find they can scratch by metal utensils easily. It makes a good starter set though at this price point.

Heavy quality tableware, I was surprised at the weight of the box. Good attention to detail on packaging, three containers with padding, tightly fitting into one bigger box. Simple style, but modern, I like the look of these items. On flicking the sides of the bowls, these actually ring rather than sounding dull. Nice size bowls and plates, that will replace current tableware!

Very misleading. This set shows that it comes in 3 colors. At the time I ordered, I wanted the darker set, but only the white set was available. I thought that would be fine, so I ordered it. It came in today, and the white set looks nothing like the other 2 colors, as in the plates are much different. The darker sets come with pasta bowls, not small plates, and that is what we were looking for. Having all 3 of these listed under the same listing, and changing what comes with it based on the color you order is a disgrace.

The stoneware on this set seems durable and sturdy and it is dishwasher safe. The color is slightly brown/black. I'm don't think they are the best value for the money as the set does not contain salad plates and they are fairly basic. They will be a good starter set, but I there are many others of similar quality for a lower price (or that include salad plates or mugs). It doesn't look like salad plates are available for purchase separately, either, unfortunately.
