We’ve had this insert for less than 2 years and it has always been noisy but now it is making an even louder mechanical sound. I called customer service and apparently the warranty ended a week ago. The part we need is going to cost half of what the whole unit was priced. Totally not worth it. While it does put off great heat, it does look quite fake, which we were willing to deal with until the latest development. ... show more

I like the fact that you can either use the logs for a beautiful ambiance in the room or put the heat on for more comfort if you need it. They even look beautiful when not in use just sitting in the fireplace.

When I got it one of the legs was broken. It looked cheep and it looked like a log was missing. When it was on you could see the wheels turning. Very disappointed.
