A must have for any solar arrays

I’m running two 1200W solar arrays into my Pecron E3600LFP power station, and I wanted something that would make the setup safer and more convenient, especially when it comes to disconnecting the system quickly if needed. That’s when I came across this 2-in 2-out Solar Disconnect. I’ve been using it for over three months now, and it has performed flawlessly. The build quality feels solid, and installation was straightforward. It’s essentially plug-and-play, so as long as you’re comfortable working with solar connections and know the basics, it should be an easy integration into your setup. It gives me peace of mind knowing I can cut power safely if needed, and it also makes system maintenance much simpler. Definitely a worthwhile addition to any solar setup where multiple arrays are involved.

Solar cutt off mc4 switch

Plug and Play. Couldn't be easier

Since I have two solar panel arrays, the 2-input, 2-output switch looked ideal to me. It does not use hard-mounted MC4 plugs on its outer casing. Instead it uses cabled MC4 plugs fed into the box via standard water-resistant cable glands, which provides an additional level of fault tolerance and strain relief. So I don't have the concerns about MC4 plug breakage that have been illustrated in some of the other reviews. Installation was as simple as matching the cable ends leading to my arrays to the side that fit them. Red-to-red and black-to-black. The TOP plugs on the switch should be the ones feeding from your panels and the bottom plugs feed to your storage system. This is exactly as illustrated in the wiring diagram on the Amazon product page. I positioned the switch to the Off position, plugged in my two arrays, checked to make sure no mistakes, turned the switch to On and it worked as it should.

Using in solar application as disconnect between panels and charger/inverter. Rated for the usage we have. Easy to get a secure connection. Key removes for extra safety. Good deal.
