I see comments that the drone won't take off or camera won't move. You have to make an account (free) with DJI so it will fly long distances. If the GPS detects you are in a no fly zone, it won't fly. Need to go somewhere else. The camera control is on a thumb wheel that the operator might not have seen. Also the gimble just might be stuck. Just have to wiggle it to get it unstuck. I absolutely love my drone. My friends are jealous of my great photos. ... show more

    • Don't use FPV
Don't run it using the camera feed. It doesn't look ahead of itself. It looks down. And the camera is not under manual control in any way. Makes taking pictures rather hard. The range is pretty impressive. But in trying to test its range, it got out of sight, as I foolishly used the camera feed... and wham. It crashes to the ground. Snaps off a wing. And like that, I've got a worthless pile of scrap. So, I guess I could class the range as "good enough." Pros: Good range. Great stability. Hovers very well. Decent camera. Nice speed. (It's faster than my jogging speed.) Sends you data on how much battery it has left, including a low battery warning. Lets you see the picture you're about to take. Cons: Very fragile No collision detection No clear indicator of range or altitude. How many hours will you honestly gets out of this 600 dollar toy? Will it really be more than 600 dollars worth of games? ... show more

    • Software updates can lose and terminate all connection with you drone!!!!! A DEAD DUCK.
This drone was the best fun ever! 6.2 mile range and high altitude, etc. I never went past 400 feet as required by law and the distance was over two miles with no issues. Then, after "firmware" updates for safety, my range was cut down and by just going down a quarter mile, my drone had a grey screen with a "TERNINAL" CONNECTION LOSS.................... And then nothing...... My drone would not "try" to re-establish contact even if I went to the location where it was Lost....... "NOT HAPPY." Then, I closed all programs in my cell phone and turned off my remote and restarted everything for a a second time (time is of the essence). Thank GOD, I new where my drone was and then connection was finally restored... WTF :-( Not happy!!!!!!!! My drone was less than a quarter mile from where I was from takeoff. Two days before, I had no problems with "TWO MILES..." Then, firmware updates almost made me lose a $600.00 drone? Not happy! I need to uninstall this App and restart it because it's designed to terminate your drone.................................................................................................................................................................................................
