didn't really like how i had to mount the first one on my mill but i didnt have access to a set of taps but i do now an i have a set of scales for all 3 axis now so i'll be revisiting the one i have mounted already, the white bracket i printed so that was not something that was included but there was a couple brackets that was supplied with the scales and i maybe able to use them now that i can drill an tap the holes to mount it but if u have a lathe or a mill an want a dro but dont want to have to spend a crazy amount of money this is the way to go. this is the first mill an lathe ive ever gotten to use so its all for me to learn with an this is not a cheap hobby to get into so anytime i can find away to do something while saving money im all about it an this works. im sure the actual mill dro systems are better and can do alot more with them but thats goals for later an its just nice to be able to have something that works without costing a fortune to buy. ... show more

Great DRO for the price. I have a VEVOR mini lathe. Without the chip guard the holes line up perfectly with the holes on the back of the lathe. I then 3d printed a small fixture to fit around the screw head behind the carriage (white PLA+). I used super glue between this white fixture and the DRO slide to keep it in place. This allows me to completely remove the DRO with only two screws if needed. I am making small parts less than 1” in length and I’m able to hit accuracy of .001” easy. This is necessary for these mini lathes as there is no way to indicate the cross slide feed. Now it is more accurate than ever thanks to this upgrade! ... show more

Works great on my grizzly 1021 planer. Although you can’t put a value into this readout, it can be zeroed out. I crank the planer bed all the up until one of the Shelix Byrd cutter knives touches the planer bed, then zero it out for precise and accurate depth. definitely worth the money. I also have the 30” model installed on my woodmizer LT10. I would buy both again. ... show more

I used this to give a Z readout on an old drill/mill. There was no way to mount it directly and required fashioning some custom brackets, but this is par for the course. The length was too great for my application so I used a dremel cutoff tool to cut a bit off the end, with no subsequent problems. Battery use does not seem to be excessive so far. Precision and accuracy are fine for my crude application, helping me keep track of where the quill actually is on this old beater drill/mill. ... show more

The scale is fine and seems to work well enough, but in my application I must be able to calibrate the scale device at MY desired dimension/position reference. This scale can only ZERO. Had to return and find a different scale with PRESET capability.

This DRO appears to be accurate enough for my drum sander and it does hold the last value it was set to. Unlike every one of the DROs I have purchased before it does not turn off by itself. If you are a part time shop guy like me that means if you forget it will be on until the next time the machine is used. Purchase extra batteries when you buy this. ... show more
