  • Really quick but not perfect
Quick and just as accurate as the one I got from transplant doctors both show 2.30 when clinic has 2.97 so it’s good for consistency but not good for accuracy

  • Very Easy to Use
Works easily and as advertised and much better the the manual flow meters of the past. Its simplicity makes it easy to clean and operate. Because the tube you blow into protrudes from the device, it's probably not one you would keep in your pocket. I recommend storing it in the box it comes with to keep it undamaged. ... show more

  • Simple Yet Effective!
This meter is a comprehensive package that includes batteries, instructions, a peak flow diary progress chart, and stickers. It is an excellent upgrade for measuring lung capacity and function due to its simplicity and portability. Unlike other models that use wind vanes and other mechanical means for testing pressure and volume, this unit uses a differential pressure sensor, making it very portable. This meter is particularly useful for those in the nursing industry who provide in-home health care. Its use and setup are also straightforward. To calculate your desired PEF value, scan the QR code provided and enter it by holding down the button for five seconds while the device is powered off. Once entered, the unit will calculate the values and display them as green, yellow or red for quick reference. One great tip is to scan off the original peak flow diary and print off copies to use as daily references instead of using stickers and the original diary a person could use Green Yellow and Red Markers instead of the Stickers. This would work exceptionally well for nurses or individuals who will be using this meter long term. The tube design makes cleaning easy; a simple alcohol wipe can disinfect the mouthpiece quickly. For those who want to keep track of their daily values long term, there is an app available for both Android and Apple devices that allows you to record and archive your readings. With its ability to potentially catch any lung issues before they become worse, this meter gets a 5-star rating for its simplicity and cost-effectiveness. ... show more

  • Works well, uses AAA batteries
This spirometer works pretty well. It uses AAA batteries, included, and it includes a chart for tracking if you want to track your progress. The usage and instructions are pretty simple and I was able to set my goal easily, after which it provides feedback about how close you are so you don’t have to remember what your ideal number is when you use it. Just do a test and you’ll know whether you’re running low on air and may need to take action. It’s a fairly simple device, and looks easy enough to sterilize with alcohol wipes. The measurement hole is small and could become clogged if not kept clean, but it doesn’t come with a bag or dust covers so keeping dust and dirt out will be a challenge and could affect the reading. Overall I’m glad to have one, lung capacity is a useful measurement both for illness and in sports medicine. ... show more

  • Works well and is easy to use
This PEF meter works well and is really easy to use. Using their calculator (from the QR code in the QuickStart) I was able to set my expected flow easily enough. It was a little difficult to know which method of calculating expected flow would be the best for me though. But in the end decided to use the CDC method as I'm located in the US and that's what my PCP would likely use if I ended up in the doctor's office for breathing issues. But I was surprised at the wide variance in the results of the different methods as this would change the red/yellow/green indications of the result somewhat. But this flow meter has allowed me to verify variations in congestion that I experience at different times of the day and there's peace of mind being able to measure the extent of this physical component in real way. And more importantly it helps me to manage my life better, and I'm really happy to have this tool to help with that. ... show more

  • Works well!
I like this meter for a quick reading and it is easy to keep it clean. It does a good job of giving you a sense of the levels you're at, so if you wake up out of breath, you can confirm with the numbers to see how far off 'normal' you are. This is very helpful to decide whether or not you should see your doctor. I like that it has an app to help you track your levels. It also has a diary you can log the info on and you can print more off of you want to keep track this way. It’s small and you can take it with you wherever you go. I think this is a great product! ... show more

  • Gives plausible results, but takes some getting used to. Easy to clean.
I like the design of this thing a lot. The blow tube is just a tube (I assume the small ring at the end is a pressure sensor), and doesn't open into the main device. This makes it easy to clean. I found it very easy to get working. The readouts seem plausible. I personally (as a beginner at this sort of measurement) found that it tok some practice to learn to exhale in the way the device required --- but that's to be expected. ... show more

  • Seems accurate
So, I have a very expensive professional peak flow meter and this is fairly close to the readings I get on that one. I can't speak to if my old one or this one are perfectly accurate because I don't have a lab. I can say the readings are close to what I get with a different one. This seems like a good sign to me. All in all I recommend. ... show more
