Bought this little camera for a trip up to the mountains. It captured scenery great when the sun was out, but even better when it was cloudy/foggy. Instructions are simple & very clear, and the camera comes with everything + more to make sure you can use it well. Both batteries are rechargeable & last for a great amount of time. Uploading images via USB is the simplest process & the size of this camera is great because it’s palm/hand-sized. Zoom works great although does start to get grainy, can film videos, and has so many different features. Video quality/audio isn’t the best, but I didn’t expect it to be incredible, so for me I don’t mind at all. The camera is great. My daughter loves its functionality and convenience. Sometimes these days a good old digital camera is better than an iPhone. It's less worrisome to use in situations where a phone might be at risk of being damaged or lost and tactile controls and presence make it more fun, and no wear on phone's battery life.     • Could Be Good For A Five Year Old -- But Maybe Not

After unboxing and using this camera the most important thing I can say is that I don't believe any of the other reviews are honest. This camera is unsuitable for taking photos for ANY purpose. I don't care if this is used by a five year old to introduce the kid to photography -- it is not even good enough for that. Give him or her an old iPhone 6 or Galaxy 7 to play with. The listing boasts FHD, 44 mp and 1080. Based on the tiny file sizes I do not know how the camera can possibly be capturing 44 mp of data. Perhaps it IS capturing 44 mp of data, then compressing the file size into oblivion, but I can't explain it. The reason I bought this camera was because of the sample images in the listing, which were clear and full of bright colors. The images this camera takes are about the equivalent of a Polaroid or of the old, old, 110 Instamatic. The images are grainy even under the best circumstances. One reviewer commented that this camera appealed to "younger" photo takers looking for that "retro" look. I've been involved in photography for 15 years and I've never known the "retro" look to mean poor quality, washed out and grainy images. And if that IS what you are looking for, you should STILL always start with a quality image, then manipulate the quality image to get the retro, or modern, or classical look you want. Take a crappy photo and you have no options -- take a quality photo and you have unlimited options. I see no utility for this camera of any kind. If you buy it I will bet after one or two uses you'll realize you made a mistake. If you are buying it because it's all you can afford, save your money for now and get a name brand when you can afford it. That is what I'm going to do. ... show more
