Do not attempt to put this thing together by yourself. Heck, don’t even attempt to carry the box into the room you’re building it in by yourself, you will break your back. You NEED at least one other person to hold the frames together while you screw it in. And it took somewhere in the neighborhood of 4-5 hours to put together with two people. I was nervous about things being broken or missing screw holes based on reviews I read before purchasing, but everything came in absolute flawless condition and I didn’t have to drill any holes myself. The alignment was spot on. I’m living in a 432 sq ft studio apartment with a cat while attending college, and it’s the smallest apartment I’ve ever lived in, so I realized I needed to utilize vertical space! I believe my ceilings are about 8 feet high—this 6 ft loft gives me the perfect amount of clearance while I’m in bed. I can comfortably sit up in bed without feeling cramped (not fully, mind you, but I don’t feel restricted) and the desk underneath is so perfect! I am ECSTATIC with the look of this! It fits my aesthetic perfectly. I love the white metal frame—it looks like wood, but it’s much sturdier. And the pure, simple color of the desk is exactly what I was looking for! I was also nervous about wobbling while in bed, and while it does wobble, it doesn’t bother me at all. I haven’t anchored it into the wall because I don’t live in a place that gets earthquakes, and I feel 100% safe even when I toss and turn to readjust. I actually love the feeling of being up high and close to the ceiling. My mattress was on the floor before this, and I much prefer the coziness of being cuddled by my roof. I only have a handful of complaints: 1. I wish there was more storage space under the long side of the desk. I feel like they could have added more shelves and/or drawers above/below the desk without compromising on space. It feels too empty in that section. I hung up some pictures and I like how it looks, but I was expecting more there. However, the drawers and shelves that do exist are spacious enough to store all of my art/hobby supplies and school materials! 2. Both the RGB strip AND the ladder covers are both already coming unstuck less than a week after putting it together. 3. The RGB strip makes some UNGODLY whining sounds when you have it on certain lights… it’s crazy how loud it buzzes. I immediately noticed it and it bothers me a lot because I have autism. It might not bother everyone. But if you were wondering what that faint buzzing sound was… you’re welcome. 4. Speaking of the ladder covers, they definitely don’t do enough to make it completely comfortable to climb up and down. It still puts awkward pressure on your feet because the rungs are so thin. I would recommend beefing them up with even more padding. I’ll probably do that at some point in the future. But overall: I’m thrilled with this. It’s even better than I anticipated, especially for the price! I’ve bought TV stands that were more expensive and damaged/chipped in the box upon arrival and needed extra holes drilled into them, and it’s always such a huge pain… I’m so glad that this was not one of those cases for us. Everything went smoothly. I would absolutely buy again. Hopefully when the time comes for me to move I can just take a few pieces apart and transport it with me in the Uhaul to the next place!! ... show more

The desk width is short making it a little hard for their computer and keyboard to fit but they are making it work. The drawers are not going to hold up for long. My teenage son has a smaller room, with 9 ft ceilings. This setup is great for his room. The directions were easy to understand, and had extra screws with each side needed. We did end up using a drill with a hex bit to put some screws in (the little driver sent with hurts your fingers after a short time, especially with the shelving)! We have not anchored it yet (we just got it put together today) but it's well built. I wasn't sure about one thing....the rails the drawers sit on have screw holes at the back. But nothing to scre into. I assume once it's anchored, you put 12 small screws into the wall??? Seems to me there should be a metal bar or wood piece to secure those metal rails the drawers sit on. The desk is a good size for homework or his gaming set up too. I'd buy this product again. In fact, my almost 13 year old daughter says she'd like one for her room! So I'm sure we'll be purchasing another loft bed in the very near future! ... show more

It's fine, not very stable, the height is great- enough room to sit up. Overall, eh could have gotten a bed with storage and felt safer, but if you genuinely need a desk and can't fit one I think it's fine to invest in for the price especially

I bought two for both my college kids. Yea i know proud dad of college students. Now be very mindful from the start it will take two at one point around the middle of mounting you will need four then back to a two person. We thought we will have been able to mount both full beds in one day and that was a lie. We started the first one at 6pm and finished at 11:58pm. Next day we started at 11am and finished at around 5pm. It was not an easy task but My college kids were happy with the results cant say if its sturdy they havent used the top yet. Waiting for mattress then i will give an extra update. They love the space it gives for all there digital things and everything. I really highly recommend and i think its great for college students who are sharing dorms or rooms and need the space. It will not disappoint ... show more

We bought this bed over the summer to entice the behavior or homework. There is ample storage. The bed was somewhat easy to put together although at times it took three of us to align it correctly.
