Worked well once updated. I don't think it fully updated the first time. When I used it for the first time after the update, it didn't recognize my vehicle. I tried again and left it connected overnight; the next date worked perfectly. I was able to do a quick/easy tune. I immediately noticed improved response and drivability. I also noticed more the MDS cycling. The next day I tuned again and turned off the MDS. I have not noticed any significant difference in mileage, but the throttle lag is gone, and the engine feels more responsive.

Avoid the Diablo (now owned by Holley) programmer, it does not work and has a factory known issue that can erase your cars computer and make it immobile. Several years ago I bought a Diablo 8300 for a challenger RT and installed it with zero issues. So I bought this diablo 8300 for a challenger RT we just bought. I registered it and did the update, put the car on a battery charger, when it was plugged in only one tune was available and no option to turn off the mds. So before installing it I called Holley who now owns Diablo and spoke to Sierra. I explained the issue and Sierra told me (per the Holley engineer she was communicating with) That I needed to install the tune and then other options would be available. For the next 40 minutes (with Sierra from Holley on the phone) I went through the steps and the programming failed several times. I told Sierra I was concerned it could damage the computer but she assured me it would not. On the next attempt it washed my cars computer and the car would not crank or start. Sierra told me that THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME and that I would need to send them my vehicles computer to be re-flashed.

Haven't had a chance to really get into it but I opened it up and downloaded any updates it needed using phone hot spot had to try twice but then it worked great uploading tune

Purchased this for my 2014 Ram 1500 5.7l with an 8speed transmission. I was very very skeptical about this tuner sense the reviews were hit and miss with the tech support, transmission tune, and ECU lock up. I took a gamble on it and purchased it. Once I received it, I immediately updated the software to the latest one available. Once the tuner was updated I took a huge breath and plugged it in to the truck. The tuner goes through some typical questions and then Once you select the tune you want you can program your vehicle. It makes a copy of the trucks original tune and stores it for future reset if wanted. It took about 15 minutes to program the tune and everything went well. I took the truck for a ride and I was immediately shocked on the difference in performance. Yes I lost a mile or so in mpg but I was not worried about that. Now one of the main questions on these 2014 Rams with the 8 speed transmissions, it didn't effect the transmission at all and also shifts at much better rpm's. I also must mention I do have a full exhaust system upgrade and cold air intake. I had these upgrades before the tune. I would still be skeptical on this tuner just for the fact that there is so many questions out there about different problems it may cause. I took a gamble and tried it. My outcome was good and the power gain is definitely there. I would recommend if you do purchase this tuner, update it immediately after receiving it and before you tune your vehicle.

Honestly I thought it was a gimmick but was told to give it a shot for my 2005 chrysler 300c 5.7l hemi. Got it out of the box and updated the device wirelessly which is sweet. Went out to my vehicle and plugged it in. Canned 93 tune woke this car up something good. Now I'm not saying this made my car a race car but for 400 bucks this is a steal for just the instant throttle response and how new the car feels. If you're on the fence because of some of the bad reviews on here, don't be swayed by that. Try it yourself and make sure you get the model that fits your VIN and you'll have no problems other than wanting to drive more.

I feel no difference in my truck whatsoever after using this product. Save your money. I've tried every single different tune I thought the tow tune would be good but even with that I don't really see much of a difference. It might switch gears ever so slightly different but not $400 worth.

I was able to turn my MSD off and raise the speed limiter on my 13 durango citadel 5.7 , put the tune in it and woke it up big time. Can't wait til spring to turn off the awd and shred some tread

Diablosport is a fantastic company who I trust very much. That said, this does not work for 2015 or later model Ram pickups According to their tech support and in my personal experience. I had to send mine back to the people I purchased the handheld unit from (it is not a tuner like what you are thinking). Their tech support was very honest and straightforward about the fact that if you want your ECU unlocked, it MUST be sent to Diablosport (or other tuners) in order for them to unlock it. I personally was unwilling to do that and just sent back the handheld unit. Just want to be fair to you and to Diablosport who is otherwise a top-notch fantastic company.
