  • Coolant line leaking
Coolant line for turbo is leaking from turbo. Coolant line was loose. Needs improvement on this.

  • Great set, use copper washers instead
Great quality for the price, but use copper washers instead of the included bonded seal washers. There's no reason to save pennies, copper washers have been used on turbo cars for decades and last significantly longer than whatever rubber is on those washers.

  • Worked with no issues
Installed on a 2012 Chevy Cruze. These lines were installed on a new Dorman turbo unit. All lines worked and fit as designed. I installed the oil return line in the oil pan first and then attempted to install it to the bottom of the turbo. It was hard to line up and install the two (2) bolts to attach the oil return line to the bottom of the turbo unit but after several attempts and time I was successful. The coolant line from the turbo to the engine block was also rather a pain to attach to the block. I was necessary to take off the thermostat housing to finally be able to get it lined up and tighten down. I did not need the special banjo tool to hold the fitting to tighten. All lines installed with no leaks or problems. Would buy them again. ... show more

  • The coolant line connectors are not machined correctly and leak!
The media could not be loaded. I bought this Dorman kit because it actually saves you a decent amount of money over OEM...that is, if it works. Installed both turbo coolant lines without any issue, but a day later the car is leaving a hand sized puddle in the driveway. Oh well, back into the shop. Found both connectors (these house the only seal, a single o-ring) would leak if I pushed on the lines. I had never had this problem before using OEM GM parts. Took it all apart, which is a frustrating and time consuming job because when you pull the lower line, you will get a good pint of coolant running down your arm because it's the lowest drain point in the block. Since these are one-time-use connectors, you have to literally beat them apart (quite cathartic). What I found was, they screwed up the machining, and the bore is large enough that the tube can just wiggle around in there, and there's no way the dinky little o-ring can compensate for how loose it is. Measured the GM fitting and found it's 0.025" smaller bore, which hugs the tube much better and doesn't allow the wiggling you can see in the video. None of my GM units has leaked. Dorman engineers: please do a better job next time. This is a simple bore callout in the CNC code. I wonder how many thousands of kits you have out there that are all wrong. My second beef with this kit: I have installed 3 of the metal turbo oil drain lines and all 3 have leaked at the turbo flange. One would wonder how you can screw up a flat bolted flange seal, but they did. The seal provided is perfectly flat and not embossed like it should be. Gaskets need some amount of "crush" to work correctly, and these don't have any embossed ring at all. I know I had them torqued properly, so installer error is out of the question. The proof in the pudding is, on all 3 cars I tossed the Dorman gasket and used some extras I had from GM and Elring. And those all worked. So...once again guys, your seals don't seal. To anyone reading this, if you can't get a correct gasket, use GM assembly adhesive (the gray stuff that starts setting in 10 minutes). It will probably help you out. ... show more

  • Better than stock.
The lines quality is so much better than the stock GM parts. If I have to do another turbo, I will buy Dorman again.

  • Good purchase!
Everything was great except the new exhaust manifold studs were too long. Had to reuse the old ones.

  • Fits perfectly. No problems. All lines made snug
Little long on the Return Antifreeze line, however all other lines went smoothly. They work great. Recommend that you still blow all the line connections before making them back up to the turbo.
