I was really impressed with this couch, especially for the price point. It was relatively easy to put together but I do think it's much easier with two people. I'm only 5' tall and I would not have been able to attach the back part of the couch without someone else helping since you have to line up each side at the same time and lower it at the same pace. Assembly took about 45 minutes and was straight forward. I love the fabric and stitching on the couch and the storage is a nice benefit for extras like pillows and blankets. The back has two zippers for the legs to unfold if you are using this as a sleeping futon. The entire couch is very sturdy and well built. The couch is firm, I thought it was going to be uncomfortable but after using it several times it is actually surprisingly comfortable for how firm it is. I bought this couch for my small apartment, and it's good but not perfect. here is what i think about it: pros: the couch looks very modern, I love the simple design, especially the legs, very stylish. the hidden storage is super useful, I can store my extra blankets and pillows. it’s easy to switch between couch, lounge, and bed. padding on the seat is soft enough for sitting. cons: the storage compartment is a bit small, not enough room for bigger things. it took more than 30 minutes for me to put together, the instructions was not clear. the faux leather feels little stiff when you sit on it for long time, not very comfy for sleeping. overall, it's a good choice for someone looking for something stylish and functional, but don't expect it to be very comfy for long sitting or sleep. ... show more

We like this futon, it's comfortable, attractive, and easy to lay flat/sit up. The storage is a fantastic feature. The reason I'm giving it four starts instead of five is because of the zipper. The top and the bottom have to be zippered together, and wow did we struggle. The fabric just isn't sew correctly, or maybe it's just not lined up correctly, I'm not sure. But it felt like a 15-20 minute struggle. We tried pushing the fabric closer on the stretched side, pulling it on the opposite side, lining it up JUST RIGHT, going up, down, starting over, everything we could possibly do. Somehow we finally got it, and it skipped a bunch of teeth on the way. I though it would rip for sure the first time someone sat on it, but so far, it's still intact. Normally I hate futons and have since childhood but this futon is quite nice. It was a breeze to assemble as it came along with a good set of instructions. It was built in under an hour an hour with some assistance. The cushions are on the hard side but I’m sure they’ll become more comfortable once it is more broken in. The futon offers an ample amount of storage space for blankets or anything that makes sense to be placed in them. The futon looks much nicer in person which is much appreciated. Very nice futon easy to read directions took about an hour or so put it together. Love the storage underneath to keep blankets etc. Looks great in the living room little hard feeling but overall great find.
